Default VPN or VPS?

I am studying the concept of VPN and VPS, also the VMWare, and I am pretty sure either way could be successful. but just want hear people's thought, which one is more popular?

couple questions:
1, does VPS record cookies, prints and everything? or like a library computer it delete everything for each log in?
2, VPN+VMWare = VPS?
3, VMWare = log into new Computer Administrator?

really appreciated

VPN over VPS anyday for eBay/Paypal. Manage accounts simultaneously with VMWare + VPN installed.

It's a personal preference... VPN is faster because it's just a secure connection where as a VPS (virtual private server) is a computer you're connected to somewhere else in the world.

VPS = better for Amazon
VPN = Better for eBay/PayPal

seems price is a significant factor as well, with most bargain VPS's being linux based.

does ebay/paypal care for linux based operating systems? seems like that would be right away fishy

If you are tech savvy and know some basic linux, you can setup an OpenVPN server on a cheap linux VPS with a Dedicated IP, then use a VM to connect to eb/pp through that VPN. Works like a charm.
