Default I used similiar email as my banned old one...

for my new stealth account,
by mistake I used a similiar email name than my banned account.
for example, similar in a situation like this
stealth account: johnathantao18gs@xmail.com
banned account:johntao18@zmail.com

how likely is ebay going to link the 2 accounts based on this similarity?

Also, does paypal link accounts based on user password? like, if I used same password on different accounts, is paypal going to detect that and link the accounts?

Yea try to use totally different email, username and passwords.. Also fresh static IPs and separate all accounts with a user profile on your computer

If the 2 emails are similar, eBay won't care as long as there aren't any other reasons to suspect the two accounts are the same person's. For example, if 2 accounts have similar email addresses and physical addresses, they'll know something's up. Otherwise, they won't care - there are lots of people in this world with the same names so it doesn't matter what your email address is.

Also, no chance they'll link you based on your password. They can't see your password at all and have no idea what it is.

Like I said, you'll be fine unless you screwed something else up.

These dont look similar at all.

They have millions of users registered. I remember when I first had my "stealth" which I screwed up with due to the account going below standard and eventually having too many open cases opened at once they brought the matter to my attention that the account is linked and that will be the only reason why it will be shut down permanently.

As long as its not unique name after the "@" symbol your pretty much ok....

Example gmail, Hotmail, etc are common.... However some people use the business account for emails...

Example. newjerseymax@aspkin.com & 123James@aspkin.com could draw flags. Other then that you are ok....

I do not think they are similar enough to link you. Similar passwords would not link you, but the same password could along with other similarities. Always best to let each account stand independently of each other and try to make it looks as non-similar as possible. You should never be too lazy to take the time make things hard for them to figure out. Not saying you are. Just making a general statement on the topic.

yea I can see the benefits of making each account unique. This was a good first experience though. I will keep this one running and selling small things for the first month...if it gets pass the 1 month mark I will create my second account (and this time I will be careful making unique account details).
