Wow, Giants tied it up. Wasn't looking very good early Game 4. Bumgarner on the mound Sunday.

Looks like at age 38 and a 16 year career God has called Tim Hudson on the mound for the biggest game of his life.
It is only fitting that the two wild card teams that had to play an elimination game just to get in, square off in a Game 7 elimination of the World Series.
I am rooting for my Giants, everything tells me the way things have gone this game is going to be like 12 innings and be absolutely EPIC!!!!

Crazy I actually started this thread. But Bumgarner had the postseason of a lifetime. To come back in game 7 and pitch 5 scoreless on two days rest in a one run game unreal. All the props to Royals fans. They just faced a pitcher who said no thanks I am going to carry this team on my back. It is over. Surreal. Giants stole this World Series. That 18 Inning game in Washington it was over in the 9th and they stole it. Surreal how things play out.

Its pretty pathetic and sad that San Francisco had to use one pitcher so much to beat on of the lowest salary teams in all of baseball. LOL!
It's also very stupid and unwise management by San Francisco.

It's also very stupid and unwise management by San Francisco. | In the World Series you have to do what you must to win. Unwise by Management? 3 World Series in the past 5 years. All of which the National media said they would not make it out of the first round. A fifth seed Wild Card who lost Matt Cain for the season.
Madison Bumgarner is a throwback to a different era. Unwise is your opinion. We all know he was chomping at the bit to throw in that game.
By your logic warfare should be like it was in the 1700's each Army line up in lines and fire point blank shots at each other. Take your tea and crumpets and shove it up your ass.
MADD LOVE FOR MADD BUMB
3 WORLD SERIES IN 5 YEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SUCK IT HATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL! You two definitely don't know anything about a franchise building for its future and not losing tens of millions.
When you over use a pitcher like San Francisco has you risk him throwing out his arm and being done for his career.
Salaries are not like they are in the NFL where there is only so much is guaranteed. In the MLB 100% of their contract is guaranteed.
The list of players below were amazing pitchers who were overused till the point where they couldnt even throw a fastball.
Matt Harvey
Take Russ Ford
Mark Fidrych
Tommy Thomas
Bill James
Justin Thompson
Mark Prior
Ernie Broglio
Cy Blanton
Gary Nolan
Sparky Anderson
Brandon Webb
Jon Matlack
Dizzy Dean
Schoolboy Rowe
Dick Radatz
Craig McMurtry
Wilcy Moore
Buck O’Brien
Herman Pillette
Whitey Glazner
Steve Busby
Madison Bumgarner's contract is currently 35.56 Million through 2017 and he is still very young at 25.
So you would say over using a pitcher like that and risk losing 35 Million and 20 MORE years of pitching is a solid strategy? LMFAO!!!

LMFAO!!! | You may play your entire career and never get back to the World Series again. Yankees did a similar thing with C.C. Sabathia when they won the World Series in 2009. Burning up a pitcher in the regular season is one thing. In the Post Season it is a completely different element. Bumgarner said he was ready to go and wanted the ball. I don't think you could have prevented him from taking the ball in Game 7. While I agree with you there are risks involved as Herm Edwards would say "You play the game to win". Testament to Bumgarner for putting his team above his contract.
