I thank everyone for posting your opinions on this matter.

I can confidently say that my decision in banning Modee was the right thing to do.

I like to think in change comes opportunity, and in our case I feel the forum will once again be a free flow of information.

In an effort to put this issue behind us this thread is now closed.

Modee liked Pulp Fiction quotes, so here's one last one for him.

"The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you."

Well I had some concerns when I came on this forum with Modee.

The first was the over control of discussions and being afraid of what you might say for getting slammed by him.

Another being a discredit of eBay Stealth.

And the biggest was when I queried him on his one on one service I had to give him personal info. and sign some sort of non-disclosure agreement.

The other was when I was PMing him about his 1-1 service he tried to find out what I was selling as I told him I had a good product I was selling. Made me feel like he was fishing.

And of course the biggest issue I had with him was flaunting illegal acts, such as never paying eBay fees. Which done with intent would be fraud.

And then being a supposed attorney and doing this gave me even greater concern.

Additionally, the guy was supposedly rich by his own comments, such as having 100,000 in Paypal he removed and other similar comments.

Why would a guy with a lot of money need to charge for 1-1 or even want to do it.

Default the same thing

Well, the same thing happened to me with him when i opened my thread to sell the pre 11/07 Ebay accounts. he sent me a pm saying that he can buy them all from me , i said OK but you have to give my money first . then i got angry and he started to post some bad comment about the thread.....

that's why that's good to have several moderators in one forum.

Default I Tremble With Fear…

COPY OF EMAILS SENT TO ASPKIN. F.Y.I.

----- Forwarded Message ----
Sent: Monday, March 30, 2009 6:47:08 PM
Subject: Fw: 2nd request

Have received no response from you, and no action has been taken.

----- Forwarded Message ----
Sent: Saturday, March 28, 2009 12:55:49 PM
Subject: Request

Okay the time has come for the single request I mentioned when we parted ways.

When I provided content for you, I made it clear that I reserved all rights to my own content.

Now I ask that you please delete all posts ever made by Modee on your forum. I retract any license I may have given for my content to appear on your forum.

You should be able to do this within your admin function. The other way to do it is to log in as Modee, and then delete permanently any post I made. The latter method may take some time, as only twenty or so posts can be deleted per page. If this is too much work for you, you can arrange a certain time for me to log in to my old account, and I will delete all of my old posts myself.

I hope you will not make this an issue. I suppose that since my posts are superior to yours, you might fight this, but I hope not. Your forum should be able to stand on its own without my content, and I do not wish for you to have any of it.

Modee

What's ridiculous is that he fears me so much, he won't delete my content, or respond to my emails. All he has to do is go into his admin, delete all my threads. Will take him less than a minute.

If his forum can stand on its own, then why maintain my superior content?

I have given him a week. If he were not a coward, he would have at least responded to my emails by now. Because he fears me, I come here to post.

I am not trying to disrupt his site - I just want my content removed from it, and since it was given to him specifically under license, it must be removed now.

Anyway - the only reason I can see for his not removing it, since the process of pruning the posts will take literally one minute, is he knows my posts are superior and he doesn't want to hurt his forum by removing my posts.

Mo' you had some good posts..I will admit that but man this isn't the way to handle it. No need to spam the site with his contact info. That's foul. But you should not have been dissing aspkin behind his back. You were getting money with your side biz on here and he was and still is with the stealth book. You should not have told people to stay away form the book. Being two faced was not the answer....

Well, that's all water under the bridge, no? I mean what's done is done.

All I am asking now - is that the parting of ways be complete. I haven't come on this site and posted anything at all for three months. All that nonsense people were posting about me - people who don't even know me never used my services, I never responded in any way on this forum.

Today I come here to ask that he delete my posts - because, he has ignored my emails and request for one week now. If he were not such a coward, and had responded to my emails, I would not be here today.

Under what POSSIBLE right can he maintain my posts, when I am gone now, and I specifically told him from the beginning that I reserved all rights to my own content?

Even if there were no legal issue - is it right? To ban someone and then reap benefits from what he posted here? Whenever I used to ban someone here, I would delete all of his posts if he requested it. It is not fair to send someone away and benefit off his knowledge, especially the co-founder of this forum.

Well the info here has been public for about 2 years. You were an informative member for a long time and then something went very wrong. If I lose my job I cannot expect my ex-boss to rip out something I created while I was on the clock....it is what it is.

The info on this site is not just one man's work...but the work of many.

UNLESS you specifically tell your partner that you reserve all rights to say, some work you did for him, and that is understood before you started work.

And in any case - all this comes back to - is that aspkin knows my content is SUPERIOR to his, and that his forum will be in shambles without it. Otherwise, why would he be so fearful that he is afraid to write me back an email, and will not remove my posts?

I don't think you can withdraw any member's posts on a forum without creating holes. We are all important. It's like pulling a brick from a house foundation.

I could come on here and tell you what I know about aspkin but that is not why I am here. I have no interest in responding to what was posted on here, or addressing any of your opinions. The fact that aspkin is resisting removing my content PROVES that he knows what it is worth, despite the fact that he was trying to talk badly about me.

My posts will need to be deleted from this forum, and what I am doing today is the next logical progression in my actions to have that done. He could have been a man, and responded to my emails, but since he did not...well, here I am with about the third of six steps I am willing to take to enforce this action. He wants to be a coward and not respond to me, oh well, that is why I am here today posting.

I think that this is not the way to handle the differences between you guys. IMHO if you put your post in the forum on your own free will, then there isn't a reason to delete them.
Reminds me of the guy that wasn't picked to play on the team and took his ball and went home. C'mon grow up. He allowed you financially benefit off this forum. Let it go!

I'm posting here because he ignores my emails on this subject.

Please read the thread. My position is clear, both legally and morally.

Anyway let's face it - you take away the Modee content and then what do you have left...aspkin's posts! If he thought his posts were good enough, he would have deleted mine when I asked.

There is no need to personally attack someone, just take the high road. Eventually this thing will work itself out. Time heals all wounds, in time it won't really matter. What ever happens or doesn't happen with your post I don't think is really all that important. This is an ever evolving community as new information and changes are constant. No one has all the answers, this is an shared effort to help the entire forum not just one persons interest. I probably wouldn't remove the post now if I were askpin, but that 's entirely his decision. That's all I'm going to waste my time with this.

I agree with ebay, and others who say that you are taking this too far. I don't know what the problems are between you and Aspkin & quite frankly, I don't care - its none of my business.

But both you and Aspkin benefited equally from this forum - in fact with all the consulting you got paid for, on the side, you probably got even more out of it than aspkin.

Besides a large majority of your posts were NOT superior information, but instead pleas for people to PM you for more info with which you would charge unreasonably high rates for relatively simple and short tasks (Like trying to charge me $65 just for registering for Cartmanager & integrating with merchant account/payment processor)

Apart from the registration/subscription fee, this is supposed to be a free info site, and instead you tried to get people to pay you extra (and at substantial cost) for small nuggets of info.

Seriously, I think you need to GROW UP, Modee, and stop acting like you are or were the best and most helpful member on the site. But once messages have been posted on a forum its impossible to delete them without creating holes. We are all important, but no one including you, is more important than anyone else. Like another member mentioned, deleting your posts would be like trying to "pull a brick from a house foundation".

You need to stop being so greedy, and selfish and realize that ultimately this is ASPKIN'S FORUM, and the posts, regardless of who posted it, belong to Aspkin now, to do with as he wishes.

Get over it, and get a life!
