Default Two accounts on a dynamic IP address router question

Hi, everybody, I'm new to these forums, and love the threads.

My question is IP addresses and multiple eBay/PayPal accounts. I have a Verizon modem that gives me a new IP address whenever I shut it down/reset.

My question is if I have two ebay accounts that I want to access, does that mean I have to turn my modem on/off each time I want to go to the other Ebay account?

And if I have 3 accounts, I have to do the same thing?

Doesn't that become inconvenient? Is there a better way to do that, so I'm not shutting my modem off 3 or 4 times a day --- or is that just how life is going to be?

Yes, that's maybe a little inconvenient but safe.

Otherwise you may save yourself a couple of mins without resetting the router, but eventually you will get all of your accounts linked and banned.

So it's your choice.

^^ that guy is right. If you don't change your IP between accounts you run the risk of being linked and losing all your accounts.

What you are doing is the cheap, inconvenient method of obtaining multiple IP's. If you want something easier/faster, consider some VPN subscriptions for your accounts. Then you would be able to switch IP's just by clicking "connect"

Yes thats fine just make sure to always note your ips between switches or if you want to never have to reset your modem again, get a fresh Dedicated IP for each account can do this through a VPN, just pick a reliable company & your good to go

Im having the same problem. Im using a VPN which let you pick location but not IP address. So if i connected to NY, i can reconnect to NY if i log off my pc. But the problem is i cannot connect back to the exact same IP address.

Example: I connected to 209.200.35.220, after i log off my pc and reconnect, it will connect to 209.200.35.221 or 209.200.35.190. The last 3 digit will change. But they are all same location. Will this cause any problem? Do i need to connect to the exact same IP everytime i log in my ebay/ paypal? Please help. Thank you

Then your using the wrong vpn provider, sounds like your using a provider that's giving you shared ips. If you can pick any state you want and get a new ip then that's what there giving you shared ips... thats no good and will get your accounts limited eventually

Without getting too technical basically your sharing all those ips with probably thousands of other users, so if any of those other customers decides to start using the ips for amazon, ebay, paypal etc its going to put your accounts on the hot seat and likely get them limited/suspended eventually

You need to get a Dedicated IP address from a reliable company not shared ips

Well the damage is already done technically since its now associated with all those shared ips but take it slow for a week or two on it and stop using shared ips and just learn from your mistake for the future, use other stealth accounts in the mean time
