Playcom help please!!

Hi

I sold some things on Playcom.
These were books that i have over the years, it was a large collection so gave it go, it did well so decided to put on items for sale.
The account is about a year old, but came a ProTrader because needed to in order to list over 100 items.

Long story short. I have £4050 in the account. I could not transfer them to my bank or spend it on Playcom.


I emailed them to ask, what the problem, Playcom claimed i was new so wait for a funds for the funds.
Second email i got proof my items are genuine by giving them the reciepts, i told these are books, how can i give you recieps.
I waited over a month. Still i can't do anything with the funds

I called, one person say, i should get my funds within 24-48 hours
Called few days later, i am told to email the playcom which i have endless of times without any replies.
Then i called again, i was they have emailed the headquaters to find the problem.

I have emailed regardless everyday, but i do not get any reply what's so ever.

Now i sold my products for free and they have my money

I do have accounts with Amazon and ebay, but Playcom is good for books.

I am sicken by thier service, they do not respond and basically i sold my books for nothing.

I need help. What can be done.

I feel like taking a complaint to Watchdog, i thought ebay and Amazon was bad....believe i love Amazon and ebay from this point onwards

Any help would be great.

If it was me i would phone them up and advise them that you are taking legal steps to recover YOUR funds..good luck

Maybe Watchdog would be a good idea actually - pressure from them will defo get your money back.

Whats play.com policy when it comes to holding money? surely it can't hold it forever can it?

By the way - can you add your own listings on it - if there not already there?

Manners lacking?

Go over their T&S again.

Check they have nothing hidden about the right to hold funds.

Send them a email to expect a registered letter claiming your funds back before filing court recovery.

Hold off from the other suggested step.

Why? Ideally you should have 'evidence' to present they disregarded your request.

You are allowed to list items from their catalogue. Something similar to Amazon.

Playcom holds money for 90 days. I prefer Amazon and EBay. Playcom is good for books, which after fail attempts selling them on Amazon and eBay.

I can list items, their is no such problems and also their has been no emails or anything to tell my account is suspended or deactivated.

Started ProTrader on 22 March, so it has been a month now.

True.Waiting for 90 days i wouls have. But thier nothing wrong with my account. It is still active and in good standing.

I did call up. Got the same response to email the deparment.
So i call the supervisor, was told that i would get a call within a hour...GUESS WHAT NO CALL HAS OF YET.

Just stay clear of Playcom....this is robbery.

I agree, disgusting. Why cant they just be straight with you, tell you they are holding it and when it will get released. No answer is so rude.

You would lose money big time.

These people...if they exist, it's like banging your head on a empty wall

Believe me eBay is Amazon is way to good.
