Default eBid - How do you get paid on eBid? Is it better than eBay for sellers?

I'm willing to give eBid a try. Does anyone have any experience selling products over there? Do sellers get paid easier there than on eBay?

It may be worth doing alongside ebay and the like, not instead of.

Not worth it imo as you won't get many sales compared to ebay.

Ebid is a waste of time............

You do get paid the same way like EB but sales are really really rubbish.

I've not heard or come across someone who has made it on Ebid.......

TYpe Ebid using the search facility and you find everything you need to know.........

Not enough traffic to be a viable alternative to ebay...

If you have the time to do all the listings you could however run it along-side...

The fact of the matter is that there ARE other sites out there. You might not sell as much on there, but perhaps they are EASIER to sell on.

As somebody above me said, its worth adding these to your portfolio.

Sometimes you have to think outside the box a bit, there are many outlets to sell on worldwide.

Traffic is not the only thing to consider, perhaps you can find a niche product that has too much competition on Ebay.

To answer the ops question .... You can use PayPal, skrill, merchant acct, checks, mos. they no longer can take amazon payments. To me Ebid has potential but it is a small privately owned firm so it is difficult for it to grow. The selling fees and friendliness are very inviting. I would only recommend it as an adjunct site at this point however. The only sites that can support your primary business needs are eBay and amazon IMO. All the other sites don't have enough traffic and I would only use them as adjuncts. I think Bonanza is the best of the rest.

wonder why that is. auctions do better there than bin. if you go bin definately use the best offer option. buyers there like to haggle.

i think these other sites dont use enough gimmicks to pull in buyers the way eb does. Like offering 2% back in eb bucks builds customer loyalty. BTW, what do they call this programme in the UK? ebay quids?

eBid needs a lot of work on the site and promotion to make it comparable to eB - worth a try to test your market niche but dont rely on it heavily.

Never once had a bid on ebid....a lot of looks but no bids. Go to ebay, have bids instantly.

The only good thing about ebid is the fact that you can import all of your feedback from ebay. So if you have 100 feedback on ebay for example, all of that gets imported to your ebid and your brand new account will now have 100 feedback.

BUT once you import, you are on your own. So make it worthwhile and make sure you have enough feedback that you want to import over...if you are OK with 10 or 20, then so be it.

Also, you have no selling limits on ebid. You can list one item for $1,000,000 if you wanted or 5,000 items for $1. Whatever....but will the bidders be there? Probably not.
