I need to start selling again and ebay is looking highly unlikely. I am looking for a comparable site and I came across Square Market. Does anyone have experience with that?

For what reason is it that eBay is looking highly unlikely?

I got banned! I had two accounts for a long time. I let a friend use one of them and he ran a about $2300 worth of fees. He didn't didn't pay it and soon after both accounts were banned.

He doesn't have the money and neither do I. But he gave me some computers equipment instead. So, I created a new account to sell off the equipment and pay the fees; within 2 weeks that got banned permanently. Saying that I can no longer use the site for any reason.

I called them and I was told that I had some complaints and I didn't them call them regarding them. I was a top rated seller; the account account was in good standing, he had some complaint but refunded them. Unfortunately, he said he would remove the ban.

Far from being unable to ever use eBay again

You need to start by reading the stealth guide.

Not many sites can compete with the traffic of eB - best to get back on the platform, stealth method-style

Your friend scammed you and you let it happen. This is no one's fault but your own. $2,300 in fees means he sold a TON of items. No excuse to not pay that. This is simply moronic and now it's time you and your friend learn to not run from being responsible sellers.

I'm glad EB and PP canned your immature @sses.

With friends like that your always going to have problems, I don't even let family near my accounts...well only my Mom and Dad but that's it! Hope your still not friends with this person who screwed you over.

Get the Stealth Book, read it a few times and get back to selling, and don't let this friend near your accounts!!!!

Here is the thing...

There are many eBay alternatives out there: Amazon, eTsy, Bonanza, iOffer, Square Market - and many others.

The problem is, that for most items, only eBay and Amazon have enough TRAFFIC for you to make a decent amount of sales.

Right. $2,300 in fees means he collected roughly $23,000. I wonder how long he was using these accounts, and what was he selling

I'm sorry to hear about your friend. Everyone makes mistakes, however..... I would be around his house with a tyre iron waiting for him to return home if he left me with those kind of fees to pay.

But, other sites, in all honesty do not receive the same amount of traffic as eBay does, not even close. That's why we all still use Ebay. We hate it. But we use it because it is good for business and we know there is money to be made, more so than other sites by 10x.
Buy the stealth guide, read it, then make yourself a drink and read it again. Then come back here and ask about anything you don't understand. We can help

Can we please get back to the original question? I understand the traffic issues. but everybody has to start somewhere. I can only regret not selling on eb when it started. I have been a Square member since it started because I use it to accept rare payments for credit card sales on Craig's List.

To be honest I am having issues navigating the site. For me not too user friendly. Would really appreciate some feedback if anybody has experience.

Agree with you, Joel.

Dislike the color scheme, fonts & layout.

Not sure we are even going to go on with the account.
