I agree. I only sell vintage on etsy and doing very well.

TG has a good idea, you should follow it.

Mid Modern Century items are one of the hottest groups going right now so his idea is a very good one.

Follow the model that etsy has. They are highly successful and dipping into ebays business a lot.

Thank TGMT for thinking about that.

My only suggestion is to make sure you date the vintage.

Nothing newer then 1990 or something.

If you do not people will fill your site with new items and call them old.

Come on Rsot. You have to get off the chair and be out and about looking.

I go to no less then 4 auctions per week and by online using proxibid for auction items I can buy and have delivered to my door.

It takes money to make money but you have to get out of your house once in a while and dig.

I find something mid modern every single day I am out going to flea markets, yard sales, thrift stores or going to an auction.

Most people do not know what they have or what it is called.
Even auctioneers cannot separate mid modern from just calling it a lamp that is shaped like bomb.

Just a month ago I bought a coffee table at a local community yard sale.

Made by Heywood Wakefield. The lady said it was her Grandmothers and is old, she wanted 100.00 for it. I told her I will take it if you can help me a bit on the price. She said 75.00 is the lowest I will go.

Without digging into the price I grabbed it knowing I could double my money.

Once I put it into the van I got on my phone and found it is valued at between 400-500.

Lasted less then 2 hours on craigslist once I listed it for 500.00 and was offered 400.00 for it and sold it.

I find lamps, end stands, chairs, wall clocks, hanging lamps etc many times a month when I am out.

Nothing more fun then a picker out digging for something like a treasure.
The Monday morning flea market I hit every single week always has something mid modern in several booths. Some have it prices too high to make any money and some dont.

Charity auctions are a good idea but you must make sure to screen well to avoid fraud

I would not get into the charity thing until you and get your website growing more.

Might be too time consuming to handle and time could be used to find ways to get traffic etc.

To cut down on time stop going to the gym. By equipment for home and work out late at night after you do whatever consulting it is you are doing.

Time is important and if you can be out looking for items to re sell during the daylight and markets open hours you can work out when everything is closed.

Interesting point - didnt think of keeping the gym at home - definitely worth looking into freeing up space

Problem with home gym is might not be able to address specific body issues easily enough.

Time appears more your bugbear too.

Make a list of all the things to change to get to do all the other things on the list you say you want to do....

eventually they all cancel each other out.
