Hi there, I use as many platforms as possible. Ebay, Amazon, Ebid etc.
I have found that Bonanza is mostly a waste of time if you are outside the USA, unless you use it to drive traffic to your amazon store. Also set up your own ecommerce store, you can even do this for free and only pay once you are ready to go live. Moonfruit & freewebstore are great for free options. Obviously you would have to pay something at some stage.

Bonanza worked ok for me. you pay them as you sell no subscription . so far I had 35 sales , it better than nothing . I had 0 sales with my own website in 3 months. The Bonanza website is easy to use.

Thanks I already uploaded products and had sales there but the traffic is terrible compared to amazon, ebay and etsy. I'll follow the alexa ratings and try it again when the traffic climbs higher.

I'm trying Bonanza out. The traffic is definitely lower but they have a useful advertising feature where they will feature your products via Google shopping/eBay for a larger % of the sale.

Keep us updated if it works for you. I probably should try it again in the future, maybe even spend a bit on advertising.

i sell on sears, which is the newest platform i started selling on, but their customer service is absolutely horrible. when you go to their contact page, there is no phone number to call and all you can do is fill out a contact form and select the subject of your issue and then type in a message. then, it says they will contact you within 4 to 5 days. it's absolutely ridiculous because i am having issues getting products to go live when i upload the product feed file. everything is filled out just like i have before on other products that did work correctly and go live, and no errors are kicked back after uploading the file and it acts as though everything is correct, but the products never show in the storefront. i was forced to fill out the contact page for this issue and its going on over a week now going back and forth with some guy who's name sounds like he's from india and probably just some worker at a customer service center they outsource to, which i would assume is actually in india.

however, i've heard you can do 10%-20% of the sales from amazon, on sears. don't know if that's true or not, though. anyone else selling on sears?

80 sales on bonanza... you must be selling dope! (just kidding)... I listed a bunch of items last nov. and sold 2 or 3 small things- waste of time! Gotta have a good niche item I guess. Their traffic is nearly nothing, too bad.... I would love to see them kick feebays a$$!

Does selling items out of the back of a truck count as a "platform"?

blade - as far as i know, to sell on sears there are a very high requirements, do you need to prove a 100k+ worth of inventory? a 10-20% of amazon's traffic is worth the shot even with a horrible customer service.

rsot - There was a guy in my old town driving and yelling WATERMELONS!! WATERMELONS!! all day all over the city, he had like 500+ customers a day, everything out of the back of his truck. Are you doing that on holidays? what kind of marketing are you using? have you been ever arrested? can you share a bit more?

I signed up with Sears and gave up . I uploaded the items and then they would not show in my storefront and therefore I have not had any sales . I could not call either so I emailed and an Indian to several days to answer also . His answer did not help me . I understood I would have to pay some kind of fee to be more prominent . Has anybody tried Walmart ? I could not find a link to sign up

I've had decent luck selling on facebook lately. Just about every town has a buy sell trade page and I sell a few things here and there on those but there are a lot of pages that are dedicated to specific items and resale, I've had pretty good luck with those they even have some pages that run kinda in an auction format. Granted I sell primarily clothing, shoes & jewelry and there are a lot of groups for that but there are other categories that have selling groups too. I still use mostly paypal for my payments but I do have people that will send money orders from time to time and if they are nearby then its cash. I've probably sold about $1000 worth on facebook in the last 4 or 5 months, still nothing compared to ebay but that's $1000 in sales that I didn't have to pay ebay fees on.

Bonanza and eCrater are same marketplaces, good for sellers outside US, but you must ship to US ( their Policies).
I have sales on Bonanza more than eCrater, because eCrater traffic is only from Google shopping.
On Bonanza , you can upgrade seller with month fees to get more sales or no.
I am seller on ebay (register on ebay.com, ebay.co.uk, ebay.com.sg available, don't worry), amazon (often suspended I don't know, lost more money )
iOffer (but Paypal account was limited cannot be appealed, cause high risk),
eCrater and Bonanza (recomended).
Sear, rakuten, bn, ... Us companies are high hard registed for seller outside US.
Nice!

I started Bonan like 3 days ago and 1 day after my account went live I had a sale. Not bad of a site, they put your items into google shopping which helps a lot.
