180 days withdrawal CAN NOT ADD NEW BANK ACCOUNT

My Canadian Paypal was limited and 180 days later i get an email saying that my funds are released and i can withdraw.
However i couldn't add new bank account for withdrawal "cannot add new bank account at this time" message would pop-up.
Had few emails exchange with them, one said "you can now add new bank account".. still nothing. Another one said "you can withdraw with cheque.." with a link, that wouldn't work.
So i had to call them today with my issue and got the reply: "we won't let you withdraw your funds until you provide 2 pieces of ID!!"
Seriously!? Is that it!? I have almost 3K there! Should i just give up and hang myself?

this happens when the account is no longer verified, whether by expired CC, unconfirmed/detached bank, or whatever else.

it is important to keep a card with plenty of time left before expiration and always keep a confirmed bank linked.

ID and bank statement will be the only method to recover the funds at this point, unlike verified accounts where they allow you to withdraw by check or add another bank. Best to get creative and FAX them in to reduce their chances of catching any shenanigans.

You might want to try to call again. I find that dealing with different reps can result in completely different results. Couldn't hurt at this point.

I just called again and lady on the phone told me another thing. She is saying that i cannot add new bank account because i am using VPN insecure connection (i use 24-VPN unique IP). That i should connect from another "secure" place and try adding it again. I tried to do it with my phone data connection, but still not working. Any ideas?

Like I said and as youve seen - speaking to different reps has different results.
Try calling again and just ask them to add it directly. I know they can do and plenty of threads on here report that fact as well. Id keep calling till I got one willing to get it done.

Update:
Sent new ID. Called few more times, the only reply is : your connection is not secure ( I use VPN) and you need to login from secure network. When i connect from regular cable connection i still cannot add bank account. PP reply: we cannot help, try more and more....
but it never works...

Hey I'm in the same boat. Cannot add bank account and given the same error. I have about $2k USD in there. I will try calling in to get them to add it manually and hope I get a rep that complies.

What department do you call?

Will this message go away if i try to add a bank again in 1 year?

request check, add new address and deposit it into your business account.


Done this with up to 9500$ checks from paypal before.


in usa though, canada may be differnet

Could always go the lawyer route.
