If they feel at the end of the 180 days that the information on your paypal is incorrect , and if they think any fraudulent activity occurred than they will not release the funds to you

STOP already with these posts.

When YOU signed up to use paypal, you agreed to their terms and conditions.

paypal can reatain any funds if they see fit.

paypal can release any funds if they see fit.

Hope yours is the latter.

^Nice avatar GB. Happy holidays

I have a bunch of accounts that have a VBA attached to them and they got perm limited. Is PayPal going to give me an option to withdraw these funds to another bank when time comes?

yes they will give you 2 options when 180 days past , add other bank or request a cheque , problem when you add new bank they may ask you verified account again with phone text or phone call , the old one you registered , new number not work . I did many paypal limited 180 days , right now paypal show a new problem I still cant solve yet , they wont allow add new bank just let me relogin again and again also cant address for cheque , finding a way , headache

That is a pain if you have to get it refunded with a cheque in a wrong name!

On the UK PP accounts people generally have a Bank Acc added already, but in my email it said they may need me to confirm my ID after the 180 days, which obviously I can't do ):

Poster you are quoting is talking about older methods.

right now, and as we have said before, we do not have the exact info for the new limitations.

Still to getting info from people who are dealing with this actively.

Oh wee, lots of hypothetics here but not really a clear answer. Too bad I can't give one either. Haha.
It's about jurisdictions and even much more, some countries have issues with companies obviously stealing money. It depends on where the companies have seats or offices and/or want to operate.

I am having the exact same problem. They will not let you add or change your old phone number so you can add a new bank account. I just usually go negative on my other paypal accounts to make up for it.

Just some positivity to share with you guys.
I think i was one of the first to have 3 pp accounts burned in November. I had £300 in 1 account and last week was able to withdraw it all !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was shocked so it shows pp a law unto themselves.
Hope you guys have the same luck.

My pp acc has a confirmed bank and a credit card but Will I need to provide ID to get my money in 180 days?!

Thanks
That's a new one... ... I have been shut down for not providing an ID but insisting that you might have to provide it to them after 180 days is BS...

Bear in mind that poster is from the UK.

paypal there did some massive changes to their game.

They have changed around the rules to suit themselves.

Slowly, workarounds are being found.

But they take time to establish as working.

FYI, paypal UK announced those changes as far back as July last year. But how they put them into action is horrific.

From what I have noticed opening ste@lth accounts in many countries. When you run into problems is in the EU because there is a receiving limit of 2500 EUR if you go past this limit without providing ID and then your account subsequently gets limited and you choose to not provide ID (or the id gets rejected as it often will with stealth accounts) then it seems you can never get the money out, that is what has happened on numerous occasions, so be very careful with receiving limits on E.U registered accounts.

I have an account with around £1000 in it and the 180 hold expired on the 24th Jan. However PayPal are asking for valid ID before they will release the funds. I sent them my stealth docs however these were rejected and PayPal are now refusing release of the funds.

Are they allowed to do this? Any suggestions on how I can get my money? Thanks.

Here's the problem

You agreed to their T&S when you joined. Your case may be one where they are playing hard ball.

Ive just had bought docs from here fail as well. thankfully I had more or less emptied the account prior to submission, so there is only a handful of change in there.

Also just had a win of having one account which had over 6k in it able to withdraw at 56 days after a few well constructed emails being sent .(cant send you the emails as I spent money obtaining certain legislation that was required etc)

If that is their bottom line and they have sent you their 'this is our final response' email, then you are in a rock and a hard place. I would go down the Financial Ombudsmen route, and take the chances in hoping that PayPal would rather not have FO interference as the amount is so low, because by the sounds of it, you have nothing left to lose on this one.

I know of a few people where this worked.
