Default Calling Executive Escalations

I have a 180 Day limited account and have been emailing AUP for weeks only to get an automated response. One regular rep told me to email compliance@paypal today and another said only AUP can lift these limits. Have spoken to many others which say they put in a request for AUP to call me, none of which do.

I have even been hitting up their facebook where the reps seem eager to help. Before someone bashes their page.. and i actually got a voicemail from AUP only leading to another dumb canned email.

SO I have been Googling that there is an executive escalations department that has lifited this for some people. I dont know what the difference is? But anyway I have called like 20 402 numbers that are out there on lists. Some outdated etc and got one that finally went to an active voicemail from someone in executive escalations.

Will be calling in the AM and if not resolved will continue to tell I am reporting to the BBB & Attrny General.

Does anyone know of any active ones? Most of the lists are old as hell.

I successfully got my account reinstated that was supposed to be permanently limited. My goal was to retrieve my funds, but ended up getting one better. Never called anyone. You have to email the right people and not sound desperate with threats. They will call your bluff as you know.

So who did you email then? I have never had luck with emails especially with permanent limitations. Calling has usually worked for me as Im usually not taking no for an answer.

Exec office. You will get automated bullsh*t email of course...reply to it and you will probably get an idiot responding. Be persistant and pushy with the right words and it will get pushed up to a senior and you'll get your answer. Paypal doesn't want any trouble and they know their practices are gray area.

If you can't contact the executive office using the email: executiveoffice@paypal.com
Use the BBB to contact them.

I tried using the exec office before but never had any luck. They just keep citing "risk management". I do believe they're reading notes left on your account as they all give the exact same generic answer. I got the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau involved too, and still nothing. Could be due to the amount reserved in the account ($30K). Good luck

For those in the know, what departments actually have limit lifting powers?
Can they overide the computer decision?
Thanks

The risk management team. The execs can get them to override the decision. They can't do it themselves due to the permissions required.

Is that the execs in the executive escalation department?

So they have the power to get the limits lifted or does risk management have the final say?
Thanks
Sorry just wanted to confirm,thanks

Yeah. Those in the executive office can't do it themselves any longer (so they've told me) as the permissions to do so on the computers is restricted to those in the risk management department. Only they can do it. However, the execs office can issue a request to them to remove/change the limitation or for some of the funds to be released. At the end of the day, they can still say no. They are not obligated to do whatever the exec office says. There's no sure way to get your funds released early.

I did one step better, not only emailed the PayPal Executive team, but also sent it to my local state authorities. Attorney General, etc, and CCed them on it, as well as the media.

I got a phone call in 5 days from the escalations. So we'll see what happens from this point... I'll keep you updated.

What got you into this mess?

Did the media care?

What did you tell your AG? Did your AG care?

So many questions.

Ah yes, a first time stealth paypal account was limited because I did more then 500 dollars the first month in paypal. Rookie mistake. Anyway so they locked up my 500 some odd bucks and asked for an ID, Supplier invoice, and shipping info on one of my sales.

I waited the obligatory 20 days by Kansas State law, they aren't supposed to hold your money more then 20 days.

The media and government officials CCed on the email were more a scare tactic then anything for paypal....But yes I got contact from someone in the Attorney General's office giving me a better email address, which I haven't followed up on yet.

Since this is a stealth account, my saying I am going to take further action in small claims court is basically a bluff.

Tiffany

I hear ya. Good luck either way. I frequently see people mention the max time companies can hold your money in each state, but we never find out if the ticked off poster actually follows through on their threats.

well from my research, I can send in the demand via email to all the people I mentioned, my state authorities, paypal execs, and media. Then the next step will be to send a certified letter demanding they release my payment, and make sure to have signature confirmation... which can make it seem all that more convincing... and if Paypal still won't do anything, the third step would be to file the lawsuit. Not sure how to do that exactly in someone else's name, but the majority of the time, PayPal will settle before going to court. That's my goal, anyway.

Thumbs down Re: Calling Executive Escalations

If there is anyone here in Australia who has been defrauded by PayPal, I am in the process of getting a group together to go to the media. PayPal CANNOT keep trading in Australia when they are blocking accounts and not paying our hard earned cash.
Please contact me on wade.collins@outlook.com.au if you can help us all out.
