Default about using paypal on my own web

I'm thinking to bulid my own web and want to use paypal to receive payments.

Is paypal strict on selling on my own web as selling on ebay?Paypal will check what i sell on my own web too?

I didn't have half the problems with it attached to my website as I do ebay. Although sales volume wasn't nearly has high as ebay either. sooo..

^^^ Good that some sheep like to use paypal, slow as the traffic may not be as much. paypal will still 'check' you. But if the account runs OK, it is a reasonable method for payment.

I have Paypal on my website as well as on eBay (although I dont operate any stealth accounts).

Be aware that if you go to a Paypal merchant account with virtual terminal - ie you are processing the credit cards direct and not via eBay - you will have to satisfy much stricter criteria. Paypal will ask you to (for example) issue statements about "safety and privacy" and may well restrict your account til you comply. This happened to several people on the UK powersellers forum.

However if you quickly comply with the requirements and ring them they should unblock your account again in about 24 hours.

Its something you need to be aware of beforehand.
