Default Does Paypal cover purchases on ioffer

Hi guys,

Does Paypal cover purchases made on ioffer?

I sold an item on ioffer and the buyer claims they have not received it. Now I have a basic postal receipt but not one with tracking.

How do I stand on this? does Paypal cover purchases on ioffer?

if you have no tracking you could be in bother... also if they funded the paypal with a credit card they can do a chargeback if the paypal dispute doesnt work...

I have actually paid off the scam artist. He pulled a cu*** trick and said he did not have the item.

Then he said so we are not both out of pocket he will accept a 50% refund on the "lost item"

Either a very very nice guy or a rip off merchant maybe battling his conscience.

Anyway I bit the bullet and paid him 50% as agreed and he said he would close the disputes which I am hoping will happen any time now. If he plays silly for the rest of the money then I have email evidence plus the part refund in Paypal.

I can not be doing with the time it will take to sort this out, and I am reluctant to let anything drag on that could highlight me as a problem.

Lol knowing my luck I will get limited anyway.

Anyone else have someone scamming you but being happy with a part refund for a "lost" item.

It does wind me up but I would rather get it done and dusted, part of me says fight it out, the other part (that won this time) says get it dealt with.

Yeah, it can be a real pain...
I have had the scammers, and sometimes they have you over a barrel and there isnt much you can do...although i have also had the ones that said the item eventually arrived, and even though they got the paypal refund they paid again...
look at the glass half full, you only got scammed for half the cash...
next time spend the extra couple of bucks on tracking and if they try to pull that cr*p on you again you tell tell them to go fornicate with themselves

Scammer given 50% refund, Paypal dispute closed.

Sticks in my gut but now resolved.

Sometimes its best to bite the bullet but I do feel a bit negative and pi**** off with it all.

I guess I will feel better in the morning.
