I usually don't answer. I have their number on speed dial and always know when they're calling. They haven't caught me yet.

Well, see aspkin, I think we are in different boats from some of these people. When they call our office lines, we know they are calling about PP account(s) we created years and years ago, so not answering has no repercussions.

I just created a new PayPal account a month ago, that rings into a cell phone I devoted to that new EBAY + PayPal account. And a lot of money is already flowing through those accounts. You can bet that when they call me on that line, I answer! To not answer could mean the death or at least higher scrutiny of the new accounts.

On newer accounts when EBAY / PayPal call, they ask anything ranging from verification questions to giving you a tutorial on making sure you ship using delivery confirmation, signature confirmation over $250., etc. etc. They will not ask for your social security # over the phone! if that is what you are worried about.

The question I had to answer were very basic.

Did you just receive money from a sale for this approximate amount?

Where do you purchase your inventory?

Do you ship with delivery confirmation?

And, yes if you do not answer, they will generally limit you and ask you to send in all sorts of paper work.....

I agree with Modee.....

I got to say some of the calls been some pretty rude paypal reps. I don't even understand the reasons for calling if you have good feedback. And they expect someone to answer the phone in the middle of the work day. Jeez they must think us sellers have no life. I work a 6 to 2 job and you call in the middle of the day when no one will be home. I should leave a message on my machine to say for paypal to leave a message if its that important. And to top it off i call in when i miss a call, and they don't know why they were calling for. I guess the workers in the building are bored so they random call their customers to talk story and get them limited. Just had to get that off my chest.
