Default Question about my bank account

I need to enter a bank account to get my account "verified". However, I opened the account in my Dad's name, because my Paypal account got blocked a long time ago. I entered the CC information, and all is fine with that, etc. But, now I have to add the bank information. Will I be able to put my checking account information on there and get it verified that way, even though his name is not on my account? Does the name that Paypal is making the deposit to appear or just the checking account numbers?

FYI: The checking account information I am going to provide has NEVER been used on Paypal or Ebay.

Please reply ASAP!!! I need some help with this question...

Yes, you can add your bank account under a paypal account that isn't registered in your name. I do it almost daily

The bank won't question a deposit coming in my account with my Dad's name attached to it? Or will there be that issue with the whole name thing?

the bank only sees that paypal deposited money, they cant look at your paypal account. The bank also does not care who deposits money into your account, only if someone else tries to withdraw money from it.

HI:
The Notion that Paypalk does NOT see the Account Holders name, has been discussed many times here.
Sounds like besides this--You need to "Pull everything together" to assure you will have your accounts stay up..
If it were me--I'd get the Stealth E-Book..
Good Luck

So, ebayhateluv- are you telling me this will not work? I am wandering if the bank will accept the deposit with it not being in my name from Paypal?

Also, my bank won't tell Paypal who holds the account, will they?

They only know the account number and routing number. They do not know the name or anything that is on the account.

all you need to do is wait for the deposit to be put into your bank acct. and then check your bank statement and get the 4 digits given to you by paypal and log into your paypal acct. and click confirm bank acct. enter the 4 digits and you are ready to roll.

TAKE IT SLOW!!!

Okay... this did not work. I got a message from Paypal today saying that the bank did not recognize the account number. I think it is because the deposit was in my dad's name and the bank account is in mine.

Many people here said it would not matter, but apparently it did.

Any suggestions on what I need to do now?

Which bank are you using to verify your paypal account?

The name on the paypal account can be different from the name on the bank account as paypal cannot see that information.

I live in KY and I am using National City Bank. I don't know what else it could have been. The email stated that my bank does not recognize the account number.

Exactly!
National city bank is not verified to be working with paypal

Go and try WaMu. It works great as I have used it with success.

Get a checking account and savings account from WaMu. Link the savings account to the checking account for $5 monthly transfers to the savings by doing so you will not have to pay a monthly charge on the savings account.

Default What?

What do you mean, National City bank is not working with Paypal? I don't understand... This is where I have banked for years. Before I was limited it worked for my personal account.

I feel like maybe it did not work this time b/c the money was being put into my account and the deposit was in my Dad's name.

Are you telling me that if I get WaMu it can be in my name, the deposit in my Dad's name and all will be fine?

WaMu worked for me, different name on paypal than on wamu. Wamu was real info. Everyone must use actual info when getting bank accounts.

Thumbs down Getting An Overload Here

I have now read at least 3 posts about you, paypal and bank accounts. What
do you want to do?
Do you want to have a new ebay account AND a new paypal account?
Is your worry about what name to use regarding banks?

Default Confused

Greenbean- my Ebay account is working fine- 2 positive feedbacks and more should be coming in today.

I cannot link my Paypal account because of what I believe to be my bank not allowing the deposit because the name on the deposit does not match the name on the bank account.

I'm really confused and would like someone to clarify this for me!

Ahh. OK. Have you seen anyone at the bank to find out the problem? I realize that paypal have sent an email but if you have been a customer of the bank for a long period, you should be able to work out something. Use your feminine wiles here....if you get my drift.

No luck then go for WaMu as suggested.

Default Still Confused...

So, should I assume that Paypal has sent the name of who the deposit is for? So many people on here said they only send numbers for accounts, no names. That is why I am confused!
