Default PP balance to pay for items bought

When purchasing/buying/paying for item(s) on EB via PayPal, it automatically takes from the PP balance first.

Is it possible to leave the PP balance, and instead pay direct from a credit card # or prepaid card?

Yes.
On the review payment page you should have a link to change the method of payment youre using. Click on it and it will show you all the available options. If you have your credit card and bank account attached both should show up.

It's not always a given that this will work.

Be careful of trying this method.

I do this very often, just be careful about your clicks! Just like slokor said, under "PayPal balance" for payment options you should see "More Funding/Options" and this will allow you to select a credit card or bank account, and add either one.

I would be wary of adding a CC to use instantly with for a payment when you have available funds, this looks sketchy IMO.

thanks for the replies.
but for some reason, at least on my newer stealth PP accounts, even when i follow the method as described -- click "More Funding Options" and add a new card, it still draws the remaining balance from PP FIRST, then applies the remaining balance to the new option. Is this not always the case?

For example, if item purchased is $300 and PP balance is $200, the payment will FIRST draw the entire PP $200 balance, then the remaining cost onto whatever I add "More Funding Options"

Yes new accounts will always pull all balance from PP first then go to card - I have noticed that with some tests this weekend (at least for me anyways) - probably security issue.
