FWIW, probably not much, the one who gave me static yesterday and didn't put my transfer through sounded Irish. The one who took the phone verify nonsense off today sounded American.

Remember a few days ago when the nice lady lifted the security verify after i called in? Tried to make a very small w/d again tonight and got the same phone verify crap again. Don't even know what to say at this point. If they are removing the security check then adding it again...
same ip, same cookies, same everything

Has nothing to do with the bank used.
Has everything to do with Paypal's system.
Some people find that the IP address is the issue.
I myself think its a combination of factors including the history of the account as it associates with one single IP address used.
but with paypal who can really tell.

bank is most certainly a factor
Metabank/prepaid bank users are experiencing this more than major banks
do some research

Actually that's not necessarily the case.
Again - The bank used is NOT a factor. Don't be fooled.
Plenty of people use prepaids and do NOT have an issue.

Having the same issue, except it came when I tried to transfer to another account not w/d.. & of course my phone # "doesn't appear to be registered in my name".. Any way around this without calling them? & if i do have to call, what type of public database questions do they ask? I've had this account since 2001 & moved/changed phone #'s/etc several times since then. I want to make sure I have any info they need ready to get this over with asap.

Theres various reasons for this happening as you can see.

Well another guy confirmed that his major-bank accounts were not getting the request and ALL of his prepaid/metabank accounts were.
and, as we saw again above, blockhead had metabank.
stop spreading false information. Having the prepaid options INCREASES the probability for this verification request. Doesn't mean its guaranteed, its just more probable

It is you who is spreading false info friend.
People here are telling you that theyre facing the same problem with regular banks.
I am one of them as it happened to me twice with the bank being BOA.
So before you chime in get your facts straight. Plenty of other posts in this very thread back me up and contradict what you say directly. I understand youre trying to one-up me but don't do it at the expense of the other forum members and feeding them false information.

So far since last week I have had no issues with withdrawals.
Also, FYI, I have a regular bank and was still getting the verification request for some time until last week as stated above.

Chrome and FF change all the time and this could deleting your cookies or changing something I just stick with internet explore and I have never had this problem. I do use a e-commerce software that only runs on Chrome or FF and it varies month to month on what browser I use. I know it may sound weird but when ever I call in to the tech team who host the program they always blame it on a update that Chrome or FF just did. Hope this helps.

If someone offered phone verification options for PP on this forum like the landline PP verification that would be amazing. Huge need for it. I use one site when I need to get landline home phone verification for pp but its hit or miss n recently all miss.
Would be great to have someone in marketplace who offered that unless sum1 already does and I just missed it, if so LET ME KNOW!

my accounts are able to accept calls to verify the request to add a bank
Last night I set up a new personal stealth I had sitting for a week and received the same call/text verification request as well.
I believe the issue with that one is having no cookies, as I had none after letting it sit a week. Start experimenting with having daily logins for week before adding it, two weeks, etc and we may be able to land on the timeframe needed
