When you get those emails, and it asks you to load the images, be careful. By loading them (on your stealth account), if you do not have a stealth IP in use at the time, they can link you. When the images are allowed to load, it "resolves" to an IP address and sort of phones home whomever sent it what IP allowed those images!
Gmail allows you to disable all images (or ask you before loading), make sure to turn that on! | Thanks for this info. I went ahead and just changed my local (non-stealth) IP so next time I login to that PayPal account it will no longer be from that old IP.
Thus, that old IP should not show up again.
I'm a little worried though and I don't know whether I should just forget about this account at this point and just start working on a new account.
That PayPal account is a well established account, only problem is I happened to display the images on that email when I was on a stealth IP.
The fear here is that my current stealth eBay account on that stealth IP may somehow get linked to my previous suspended eBay account via the PayPal email I displayed the image on.
The well established PayPal account was once linked to a (now) suspended eBay account.
JeffWeico says not to abandon the account just yet, it may be salvageable.
Based on these circumstances, I would think it doesn't exactly warrant an eBay suspension.
I changed the local IP so that next time I log into that well established PayPal account it will no longer show up. This means they won't see that IP again from me.
Hopefully that helps in that if I were to continue using that IP to log into that well-established PayPal account it would probably increase the chances of a suspension....
That old IP will not show up with my PayPal logins anymore.
Any input on this would be really appreciated. Thanks.
