PayPal Roocalls are NOT Going to Happen
Well, remember the brouhaha over PayPal's new part of the user agreement that allows them and their affiliates to make robocalls to customers?
First, there was public outcry and PayPal decided that users could opt out of receiving these calls, but only if they called in to customer service to do so. They were probably betting that very few people would bother.
Now, the FCC has told them their user agreement is ILLEGAL, that they CANNOT make receiving robocalls a condition of using their service and that they needed written permission on file from each customer in order to make the robocalls.
So, it is a good bet the robocalls are dead.
