double jeopardy: win paypal case, now chargeback....
Is there a double jeopardy rule with cases?
Won a PayPal item not as described dispute, I am the seller. Sold a shirt and buyer didn't like that the shirt was a thick shirt and wanted more of a light/summer shirt... But no where in the listing do I put thick or even thin shirt and paypal doesn't cover thickness of clothes.
He filed a chargeback, paypal said they weren't taking the money out of my account while the chargeback was fighting, but said if the card issuer takes the money back and sides with the buyer, than paypal will take the money out of my account.
There use to be a double jeopardy rule - if you win a paypal dispute and buyer files a chargeback for the same reason, than the seller isn't responsible and paypal will take the loss if card issuer takes money back. But the paypal agent I spoke to said there is no protection for chargebacks for item not as described, only item not received and un-authorized purchases, is he right?
