Received and processed... now its... Awaiting Customs clearance 3 times?
 

Hi,

Just after a bit of :help:...

Iv had items sent from china via EMS / Parcel force sevral times, and i am aware that customs can hold your item for a LOOOONG time as iv had parcels held for over 2 weeks before :mad2:

BUT i am waiting on a parcel now and i have never seen it do this before?

all is as knormal upto the 1st awaiting customs clearence, received and processed and then it knormally says on route to National Hub....

Any ideas why it is now awaiting Customes clearence AGAIN :suspicious:

if any1 else has had this lately can you please let me know what the situation was,

It could possible be two things

1. it is has went through customs check , but not they have put on charges

2. it is awaiting review and they may have opened it and suspect its vero

give it about a week and you may find it gets released from customs . This has happened to me a few times , but not for about a year

SO NO WORRY, MINE IS MUCH WORSE THAN YRS ,STILL WAITING GOT NO CHOICE.

You will get charged customs charges, I have had this as have a few other users, may take upto a week to get the package from now though! once of mine had arrived at my local depot today....

I have the same problem guys!

Quite a lot of packages like this I have, going into the 'Received and Processed' stage and then going back to 'Awaiting Customs Clearance'...

theres definetly some sort of clampdown, has anyone had their packages out for delivery yet? if so, how many days have you been waiting? Interesting to know, I am getting very frustrated! Hope this situation clears up soon or its gonna be a longgg delay importing and waiting with the growing backlog :-/

7 days is nothing GIVEN the circumstances of the country preparing for the Olympics. :rolleyes:

If goods are imported patience is needed at times.

Theres been times where i have had to wait 7 Days for a DHL clearance.
Parcel force usually take a week to clear parcels to me.

think your right... just had some movement and its now saying...

how will thay determn the cost of the charge? will i now receive a letter, what is the quickest way to get this cleared as never had to pay charges before!!!

recently all of my parcels have incurred customs charges - the process takes longer than the international shipping time :(
Then i had a break, they let 2 through without charge - but now its back to being charged each time.
As far as I can see, they have never opened a parcel of mine - so I can only assume that it is based on weight.

Its to do with the ammount on the invoice ,i had a parcel with a avalue of $20 which went straight through in 2days but my parcels with a value of $30 have all been stuck in there for like 10days and got charged

My charge have only been like 7quid but parcel force charge a extra 13.50

All my parcels ive had recently have had all the paperwork taken out of the zip file on the parcel and checked,they wont be able keep up doing this though as the packages will be piling up 7 million packages go through there every year

Just had 1 parcel turn up at local hub with a £50 charge... confused to how charge was decided but paid it and will receive that one on Monday... 1 down 2 to go :)

The charge is 17.5% of the value of the item/items on the invoice plus if its parcelforce express 24 ,parcelforce will charge a £13.50 fee on top of the 17.5%

The shipping invoice was marked at 30usd, hence why i am confused at getting the customs charge of £50 & i dont think the item would of been opened????

It must of been opened and resealed as i was charge for a parcel that was $30 and i got charged about 6 quid ,i shouldnt of even been charged as on the hmrc website it says if the tax is less than 9 quid they waive the fee

I was happy to pay the £7 fee i was jus pissed that parcelforce charged me 13.50 for doing nothing but delaying my parcel

Mine was seized on friday and 2 still to go .Do You think I should ask the seller to resend it but via DHL?

It's been all over the papers that items passing through customs will be checked more thoroughly leading up to to the Olympics.

Use new courier and get sent to a new addy... what was seized if u dont mind me asking?
