Activity: 4% Longevity: 71% | | Fedex -- Clearance Delay - import
My supplier sent me some items through fedex on 10th October and I received an alert from fedex that my order is on its way and will be delivered on 16th October but I haven't heard anything from them till 27th October. In this time I spoke with but they had no clue about the parcel anyway on 27th October suddenly tracking status was changed to CLEARANCE DELAY - IMPORT.
Anyone has this kind of experience?
Anyone knows that how long it's gonna take now?

Item is being held up by customs.
Impossible to say how long it will be.
Are these items beyhond reproach? If so I would not worry about it too much, it will take how ever long it takes.

Various reasons exist.
Are the goods from China?
If so, October saw a massive delay in the landing and delivery of items for many sellers.
Another reason might be missing/damaged paperwork.
Not easy to give a time frame .
Hope this helps. |

Are the goods risky? Potential knock-off issues? Fedex is not the best way to ship then

Fedex has nothing to do with customs.

If they are out of China, the overload of items likely contributes.
Hope this is resolved soon. |

Fedex is saying to wait more 2 weeks. How can they held unbranded goods for that long. Even there is no action required. Let's see what happens.
I think they have lost the parcel.

Parcel is still stuck in France. I have got refunded by seller anyway.
Un branded items and not seizure letter received neither me nor seller.
Fedex is very unprofessional.

Dhgate. Fedex still have no idea that why parcel is stuck. Every representative tells a new story. Some says it can take up to a month and yesterday I have been told that it can take more than 3 months. One thing is confirmed that parcel is not seized.
But today one fedex representative said that HMRC will be in touch with you regarding this shipment shortly.
So I'm confused who to believe.

I believe that there is some sort of seller protection on Dhgate - did you pay with credit card as well?

Ah ok so the there is no credit card support possible. - might as well get in touch with your seller to see about refund/replacement

For maximum protection, ALWAYS pay with a credit card if you can. Debit cards do NOT have the same protections as credit cards do. Luckily, DHGate is pretty reasonable about refunds, especially where unbranded items are concerned. But not every venue offers the same protection and some sellers could care less once they have your money.
Here in the US, some items are being seized that are not branded but LOOK LIKE replicas - like cell phone cases, which for the life of me I will NEVER understand. They all look alike, except for maybe the Apple logo. If there is no Apple logo, who would have a clue it is supposed to be an Apple case???
