Should I give Simon my real info when buying? YES
 

Well I signed up for that and never heard anything for a day. Then they call and want me to verify and call them back. Their phone system is down so I want to ask first....

Does simon.com require you to receive a phone call on the number or just enter the number like on giftcards.com?

I believe I had to be verified once by them. It was awhile ago, all my other cards I had no problem receiving. Simon is kind of weird like that. They're solid though and legit.

Same with me, they only accepted my 'verified by visa' credit cards. Nothing else. But that's okay.

yeah they always call me and I usaully dont get my card until 2 days later. But i always pay with bank of america visa..

Simon.com well they can't tell me anything on their main 866-885-6320 and say to call 866-305-6236. All their operators sound from India and don't speak clearly, too. But 866-305-6236 no matter when calling is just voice mail and they never answer the phone. Also I learned that I can't change the address associated with the card for 30 days, so that's not good.

I hope simon refunds me. The number with actual people wouldn't even tell me that.

Yes , you can change the address anytime you you want. You have to log onto simon.com to change the address. I do it all the time.

And when you have to get phone verified they will call you in about a day. And they do answer that number. You just have 2 call like 3 times back to back..

Do I need to give Simon my real info?

Yes, they don't share with eBay. Same with every other credit card or prepaid card & banking there is. All they can do is verify it's good and that's it.

QUESTION ABOUT SIMON
1) Do I go for the GiftAccount or the GiftCard?
2) I signed up for the giftaccount, put in my prepared fictitious info, the submitted. Then I read that the recipient must activate the card from the phone number I had given For them. Well, that can't be done, so I may can't use that card info.
But what do I do? How do those of you who use Simon cards handle the phone number detail?

I bought a visa card for $25 and now they want the bogus recipient to call the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ phone number to activate the card?


How do you get around this?


I hope I am not charged for the card since I gave a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ phone number for the recipient and there is probably no chance to get the card activated now.

You have to use a real working phone number when ordering from Simon... They verify...

Call them up and see what they can do.

I am a newbie here. I just bought the ebay stealth book and follow every step to try to apply for a new account. Now, the last one for me is gift credit card. I just ordered today. And I put my phone from work as recipient's phone number. Does is matter when I apply for ebay and paypal. Though my work phone number has not been used for ebay yet, I rather prefer to use a number I just got from ringcentral instead of this one. Please tell me whether ebay or paypal will find out the credit gift card information such as phone number ( I use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address and name except the phone number!! so stupid I am). I will apply ebay and paypal tomorrow and trying to get back to business this weekend. Can somebody help me out here? Thank you so much.

I have a question. I'm attempting to register for a Simon gift card, and I'm filling in the recipient info. It states: *Phone Number (Recipient must provide home phone number to pickup and activate account). Which phone number do I give them?
