aol and proxies question

hi again.

another question on aol and proxies...

im following the new auction stealth guide and it mentions that aol browser is good for masking your real ip address, is this method used instead of dialup ?

secondly.

everytime i use the aol browser does it issue me a new ip address or something ? i quite dont understand this part in the guide, i dont think its clear enough.

Aye, I added that in at the last seciond.

AOL browser works, I know ebayhateluv uses it alot. You do get a new IP per connect, just make sure to watch your IPs, they have been known to repeat at times.

Some details not added: AOL: AOL proxies have shown better results for users then any other proxy service. EBay knows AOL's IP addresses are proxies, and so they give AOL users more leeway. But be careful about your IP address being the same each time you log in. Make sure to keep a log of IP addresses you use when logging into your account; try not to use the same IP address for multiple accounts.

Download the AOL Browser at Free Software From AOL - Discover AOL, and sign up for a new account; it's as simple as that. When you finish downloading the software, install it and select new user. When asked to pay for your account, click cancel, and you'll receive an offer for a temporary FREE account. Click okay, continue. When you use AOL's browser, your IP address is masked.

so how come when i used the aol brower and connected via broadband i did a whatismyip.com check and i can see see my real ip address i thought i would of see the aol proxy server address ?

If your using AOL desktop your screwed it will reveal your True ISP so I wouldn't recomend this at all!! if you want to sneak your way on Ebay get the free AOL account but use an older version of AOL. Don't go back to far I would say like 9.1 is safe I am using that and no problems so far.

ALSO make sure you take the damn flash cookie off your computer are your toast that's how there nabbing people left and right! and Askpin is right DO NOT GO HOG WILD when you start your only asking for trouble. List a few less then 10 and then as the weeks go buy toss in a big item (been doing that for 3 weeks still up) So take it SLOW!!
