0/3 for new accounts using Tracfone in the last 12 hours.

Anyone else having this issue?

Tracfone was working great for me a few days ago, now.... not so much.

It is possible I've gotten a little sloppy in my account making process, I just wanted to see if I'm the only one.

I don't think so bud. I do not think your phone is or ever has been the issue. I have used VoIP and mobile phones with the same success/failure rate. I feel it is complete randomness...just like everything else with eBay.

I refuse to believe they have something that revolves around any intelligence that makes decisions on accounts getting limits or 0/0. We have all talked to these EB reps on the phone, and we all know that these guys/gals are not geniuses. I doubt they even understand the policies that their employer employs.

The one thing I have accepted is that when you get a 0/0, you just need to move on to the next account or be ready for the database. The database seems unavoidable if you call on the 0/0.

Hi, I can confirm tracfones still work as I have not had any probs with 0/$0 recently

Made 4 accounts using tracfones yesterday afternoon and evening and all went through perfectly. Might be another factor other than the tracfone.

interestingly the tracfone I used to register ebay, which fail with a 0/00, received multiple unknown calls from the time it is activated, that means this number is a recycled number with a dirty history, because one of the message says debt company. be aware.

They are almost definitely recycled. The real question is have they been used on EB or PP before!

bjammin… it seems like different people are having different experiences. I don't know what other factors are coming into play, but when I use a tracfone I have a 100% success rate. When I use google voice/ txt+ / send hub I get the 0/0 with 95% certainty.

The way I am making accounts, using a tracfone vs not using it is the difference between getting a not receiving a 0/0 and getting one.

highly doubt its the tracfone. take some more time to let things marinate for your accounts. Holidays are coming up.

Move around how you create the account, do you make the EB first then the PP? If so, do you just sign up by visiting the site or using links through EB to create the PP....

It's all about experimentation. Try mixing it up OP, not saying it will make a difference but we're talking about EB & PP here

5 / $500 instead of the 10/1000 I got so far in all my accounts. Anyone else? Is this something they do during holiday season?

I believe this is something they do right before the holiday season. Not every account will get 5/500, just some. Hopefully it will go away soon.

yep, every holiday season they shoot their margins down by attacking sellers right before this season. Doesnt make sense right before end of year if i'm a shareholder. They would have higher yields if they allow sellers to just be.

I opened up a few accounts recently and have a 50/50 rate of 5/500 & 10/1000 accounts FYI. Tracfones worked perfectly and where $5 a piece from Wally World with 20 minutes on them

agreed,exactly the same situation, also with tracfone maybe once in a while ebay needs to call you or msg you to confirm some information you would still have that number and phone in hand which other virtual numbers expires much sooner.
