Default Limit raised on one account limit lowered on other

I literally cannot figure this out...

Account 1: 100 feedback, all positive. 1 or two opened cases for returns.
Lowered limits from 5000/100 to 2500/10. Called to see why and the reason was because of these disputed cases that were immediately solved and positive feedback was received from buyers.

Account 2: 3 months old. 1000/10 limit. 20 positive feedback with low $ sales.
Listed a couple things and today i see limits raised.... 8000/100...

This is a fairly new account with low sales, low feedback.... Yet they raise the hell out of my limits... Account 2: like a year old account, 100 pos feedback, 4.8+ DSR on all categories, sales of 50k+ gets hit with lower limits because of 2 item not as described cases....

What protocol does this company/workers follow? This **** is ridiculous.

There is a picture somewhere on this forum, showing the ebay limit division as a bunch of monkeys throwing darts at a board.

It is perfect explanation for how they handle limits

Is this a typo? They lowered your limits because you responded to cases too quickly?!

Even if cases are solved right away...they are cases nonetheless, sadly. How many did you have?

I get too many cases every day. It's annoying as hell. So I started trying to contact the seller on my personal account just to see what the prompts are for the buyers and I was surprised at how OFTEN you are prompted to open a case. It's really ridiculous!

Want to contact the seller? Are you sure you don't want to open a case?

Want to return an item because you didn't realize you were too fat to fit into a pair of size 46 jeans? You should open a case to let your seller know there's a problem!

Do you want to ask a question about how to use the item you just bought? Maybe you should open a case instead!

Did you buy a kitchen knife, and then start crying when you were cutting an onion? You should probably open a case to let your seller know!

Honestly, the system is broken.

I miss the old days where cases didn't matter as long as you dealt with them within 24 hours.

ebay boards are full with these type of complains and they don't do anything. Yeah it's a broker system and it won't take long for "real" legitimate sellers to go somewhere else, or come here once their accounts are limited because of ebays stupidity and "defects"

Especially with these new cases being "requests" and they all count against you now. Most buyers don't even want to open them, they just want to send you a message. Very flawed now, at least before if you solved them they didn't count against you.

Yup, i saw this too on my buyer account and was shocked. Literally everything leads to opening a case which counts against you pretty harshly. This company is a piece of sh*t.
