No there is a case number but then no open cases - they shut at 20:30 so it may update tomorrow?

Whats the deal recently with 180 days or is it part ways, closure and refund if worst case (which you always assume with PP!)

I lost two accounts, one on the 15th and another one on the 29th last month, same reason as yours with the following comment 'you cannot appeal against this limitation'. If they say this that means they know for sure it is stealth. Otherwise they would request something to resolve the issue.

So most, but not all of these accounts that pp limited were purchased here rather than self-made?

Also, were they business or personal?

Were the documents sent in before the 1900 limit was hit or only once it was hit and pp requested docs?

There has to be a pattern.

Why does there have to be a pattern?

Because other wise shed loads of 'innocent' accounts would be closed too in huge numbers not just stealths.

There has to be a pattern, to how stealths are being targeted and detected.

If it isn't ALL stealths, and I have stealths with Entropay and Santander still in use, then the pattern must be linking.

I had an account go down last night (03/12/14) with the same message and another account go down today (04/12/14) stating that I need to provide more information to confirm identity. Both cannot be appealed.

Both stealth stores are self made. One had docs submitted successfully a few months ago and the other hasn't. In fact the second account hasn't even reached the 1900 pound limit!! Both eBay stores are completely fine so it seems that only PayPal are the ones out to get us.

The only information they have for account number 2 are bank account details (3 month old unlinked card), name, false address, VCC details and mobile number.

Both PayPal accounts are business accounts. Both eBay stores have been doing really well recently (May have put these accounts on high alert).

So my speculation is that PayPal may have a way to look at the name registered on our bank accounts.

By false address you mean one that doesn't exist at all? or one that does just you dont have access to?

Has anyone lost an account in this spell where they did actually have access to the address?

One that exists but I don't have access to. At the moment things don't look very good for us UK users :(

That could be a possibility. Has anyone here had their PayPal account limited that wasn't with Entropay?

@realdeals Regarding to losing an account whilst still having access to the address, well sort of. The PayPal account I lost yesterday was registered to an address that I moved out of since February. I know the people who are living there now so no letters have been received during this time from PayPal etc. The address is also unlinked.

Other cards have been involved.

Everything is being checked.

Speculation should be kept to a minimum.

After speaking with PP my there was a link on there somewhere so it's toast. Careless.

Looking at my sent money, there was a echeque for fees in August so enough for them to review it based on the current purge on accounts?

How many accounts do you run?
Are they purchased accounts from this forum?
What is the message of the limitation and the date of limitation?
Did you receive any email about the limitation?

Please confirm these above.

I run 10 accounts all well established. They are not purchased from here i have created them myself first account created in 2011 but the VCC i have used on the 2 i have checked were purchased from here (bank accounts linked now)

Account access limited- For reasons relating to the safe use of the paypal service we need some more information about you and your account to help confirm identity.

There is nowhere i can upload more documents etc so i came straight here to look for a solution.

Thanks
