Personally, I have never heard of a HALF.com suspension. But if it is like PayPal they will likely hold your funds 180 days then deposit them in the account you have on file. Unless they sent you a message saying otherwise.

Probably best to just call them and play dumb. My guess is that since HALF is eBay company and their history with PayPal it is 180 hold.

That's the problem. They don't have a phone number.

Half is horrible once an account is closed. They are WAY different from PayPal! I hate to tell you this, but you may never see your money.

What Half did to me (and others) is they will claim they cannot verify the stealth identity, so they will escheat the money to the State where your stealth identity is located.

The exact process is different in every state, but what it means is this: Half will tell the state that they are holding money for STEALTH NAME/ADDRESS but they are unable to positively identify that person and turn the money over to the state. In most states it is handled by the same department that deals with unclaimed property. To get your money back, you would have to provide affidavits and copies of ID's to the state they turned the money over to. Which is, of course, impossible.

This has happened with every closed stealth account I ever had with Half.com and it has happened to others as well. Luckily for me, I usually don't have too many Half.com sales. It was worth it to me to keep selling on Half, knowing that if the account was closed whatever money they were holding for me was gone, but for stealth, their system sucks.

The phone number for Half.com that I have is 800-545-9857, but I don't know if it still works.

I believe eBay has owned them for a very long time now. I have been selling since 04/05 and I remember them always having owned them. I would say the downfall began in like 08 or 09 they actually considered shutting down the site. You use to be able to sell items relatively easy and quickly. Now it is pretty much a ghost town. To get any action on most items you have to sell them for even less than sellers have on Amazon.

Well in 1999 they were not owned by Ebay when I started using them.

eBay purchased Half.com in 2000 for roughly $350 million,[4] integrating its user management system, buyer/seller feedback, and account information into eBay.

I'm going to try to recover my funds. I actually used my real name just stealth address. But 2 different accounts. I wonder if I will pass to have funds deposited.
