Default Reporting your bank card stolen repeatedly to get a new one - BAD idea

i havent seen this posted but if you have a bank account and you need a new CC number all i do is call my bank and tell them my card was lost / stolen and they send a new card with new number for like $5.00.
also when you open a new checking get a few savings accounts and you can just use them...you will need to report the card lost for the new number though.
this has worked for me.....
also for a phone number (cell phone) just call and say your getting unwanted calls and they usually give you a new numberdo for free.

im on my 8th suspension and only once it didnt work when i used my old paypal account.

This repeatedly reporting your card stolen is a bad idea. Each time this is done, the account, especially if associated with any kind of credit line, is reported stolen to the credit bureaus. Eventually when you apply for some kind of credit, this will be majorly held against you.

Even if it is merely a bank debit card, there is an internal log of how many times you report it stolen. This will be held against you if you ever report the card stolen for real (cf. The Boy Who Cried Wolf) and will severely debilitate your ability to dispute charges. In short, you're just being penny wise, pound foolish. And how penny wise? A brand new Simon.com card costs but $2.

On the phone deal, most carriers allow only one new number per six months. If it is a throwaway (disposable type phone) then there is no downside to asking again and again (although they still will not usually give you more than one new number each six months), but if this is for a real (not to-go) account, you might be blowing the spare for when you really need to change the number.

Modee, a new Simon giftaccount costs $22 not $2. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

You simply put a fake street address and use UPS return labels to handle returns as you will put return labels in every one of your packages. The entire return process only costs you $7.

I see your new here. Best advice get the stealthbook it explains everything in detail and is proven successful buy me and many other. I came here about two weeks ago and through reading the forum and the stealthbook I'm now ebaying once again. Become a registered member and read the stealthbook. The total cost of membership and stealthbook is $37.

The $2. is the only mandatory transactional cost. The rest is pure cash, your cash to spend as you like.

I remember i tried this once, the bank rep got so worried and wanted me to report an identity theft report to the police and she was really adamant about it too. I found my lost card quickly.

Default How often can you dispute charges with your credit card company?

The more I get scammers filing chargebacks, the more I wonder--how many disputes are credit card customers allowed to file before their credit card company closes their account or VISA/MC bans them?

If a scammer file a ridiculous chargeback on me when I carried out a flawless transaction, he must be doing it all over the place. Let's just say a scammer pulls this, say, 10 times over a six month period... wouldn't this raise a red flag somewhere and he would get his account pulled? Either that or the credit card company would clue into the guy opening up fraudulent disputes?

I expect using different cards/bank accounts allows a lot more chargebacks to be filed.

Yeah I don't think the scammers are that stupid to do it over and over again causing red flags to come out, most of them outright steal credit cards and the owners of the cards file the card lost or stolen, or kids use their parents cards without permission, or they simply swap out cards overtime. I've literally dealt with several hundred of these scammers and it's nothing to them.

What I've seen is the customers order about 1000 products in one month, get it delivered to their home, and then they charge it all back saying their card was stolen. So it counts as one chargeback.
