Ebay & Designer Clothing

Are any designer labels allowed to be sold on ebay then?
Without risk on being veroed????

If someone is big into designer clothing obviously legit stuff let me know as i want to know what you have experienced!!!!

philly387 08-05-2008 11:20 PM

I am intersted too if anyone knows!!!

yahhtrick 08-06-2008 12:24 PM

You will get your auctions pulled even if you are selling legit. Then it is up to you to provide proof of authenticity to ebay/vero member. Some vero members just dont like seeing there stuff on ebay even if it is authentic.

HI: if u want to see how a Good Powerseller presents their handbags/designer clothing, check out this seller, a close friend of mine,
mindycara.
Good luck :)

if you are from uk and you sell things like rockport , henleys , nichola deakins , firetrap designer brands like that they dont get pulled of but if your into things like ed hardy , evisu , christian audigier big name brand then they are most deffinate to get pulled off.

why is this? is this from other sellers reporting you?

ebay 08-06-2008 01:04 PM

no it is because brands like the ones in my previous post copy clothing is not made
however big name brands like evisu and ed hardy there is alot of copy clothing made
and vero know this that is why they keep a close eye on those big brands
however stuff like nike and adidas isn't a problem

what??!?! Nike isn't a problem? Find that hard to believe. You know how many people sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Jordans and Air max on ebay? lol

I write a disclaimer on my listings ex. I do not work for blah blah blah company I do not represent them in any way. Any brand logos or pictures are for discriptive purposes only. My blanks are my own and well cared for and 100% authentic and I offer money back returns.

That's not what I say word for word but basically is. Not sure how much ebay cares but it stops competitors from turning you in. I never get infrigment or verod with that noted in my listing. In fact, it was PP who suggested I write something like that in my listing and also to keep all receipts. I was told this wayyyy before I was indef suspended - I was suspended for something stupid ... nothing to do with vero.

nike is not ever a problem selling on ebay as ebay dont really care neither do nike say anything people sell ⊗⊗⊗⊗ and reals everyday without a problem and the thing is cutomers dont really care as the ⊗⊗⊗⊗ is the same as the real quality as real nike.

greg2414 08-06-2008 07:32 PM

ive heard nike is a no, no i think theres some non facts here!

greg2414 08-06-2008 07:38 PM

What about Abercrombie?

Designer Items

I have those vintage designer items, all authentic of course, but can't re-list for another 30 days. I listed a handbag, spent like $60 in listing fees, but item did not sell (perhaps priced too high), but Ebay would only let me relist one time. I have to wait now 30 days to re list again. I am so mad, I have all the labels, numbers, close ups, etc. show, and I am selling genuine item and it's obvious, and I am still limited.. It sucks.

greg2414 08-07-2008 08:19 AM

that does indeed, i dont think im gunna touch this line...

ebay 08-07-2008 12:49 PM

Abercrombie & Fitch is not a problem on ebay have sold alot in the past but there are alot of competitiors on this brand and alot of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ going around too.

Addixtion 08-21-2008 07:23 PM

The only problem I had with Nike is Trademark Infringement not Vero, I never had a problem with Vero with Nike. I think that the trademark infringement may be competitors reporting me :(.

ali88 08-28-2008 12:31 PM

Abercrombie belongs to the Vero, read ebay page that contains all the Vero name

divine422 10-04-2008 01:21 PM

There are people that sell it but i think its much harder to start up now. Most people that have successful businesses selling designer clothing have been selling it for years with tons of feedback to vouch for its credibility and authenticity.

selling designer clothes

Selling designer clothes on eBay is risky and in the event of a dispute - the Seller will ALWAYS lose. That is my area of interest and that is what I wanted to sell - Jeans, Bags, Vintage collectibles like Great China Wall. Before I was suspended. all my inventory was 100% authentic designer upper end clothes and bags. I even had invoices for my inventory and the names of the places I got it. Still, I am pretty sure that this is why I was suspended "indefintely." During one of my conversations with an eBay rep. they let it slip that I was suspended for selling counterfeits. This is ridiculous I told them and I would be happy to provide documentation that this just isn't so. I even have a guide on how to spot a pair of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ True Religion jeans (and most any other upper end designer jeans) on eBay and it is still posted!!! Selling designer stuff is risky and if someone at eBay or PAYPAL decides to flip the switch - you could have the designer her/him self write them a letter supporting you and they wouldn't care. I just had a PAYPAL reversal because a buyer said that I sent her a ⊗⊗⊗⊗. NOT!! I called PAYPAL and asked if she had provided any documentation that the bag was ⊗⊗⊗⊗ - not. I also offered to provide my own documentation that it was real. They were not interested and said that it wouldn't affect the outcome of the dispute. So my 7 day return policy is a joke. All they Buyers have to do is go to PAYPAL within 45 days and Poof! they get their money back if they return the item. I cannot even leave them feedback warning other Sellers. I am not going to accept delivery of this bag and hopefully have it returned to her. This may not prevent me from eventually having to refund this transaction - but I have already paid selling fees on an account that is suspended - and I sold her a great bag - almost 2 months ago that she is all of a sudden saying is not real. What I am trying to say here is that authenticity is an issue that Buyers can throw at you regardless of whether they can prove it - and you get screwed every time. I have NEVER won a case where a Buyer accused me of selling ⊗⊗⊗⊗ - and I never sell counterfeits - ever!
