Default Paypal recieving limits glitch?

Hi,

I wonder if anyone could help me please?

Every time I try and verify my personal details on PayPal to remove the receiving limits I get this message

Something seems to have gone wrong
We’re experiencing some technical difficulties.
Please try again later.

The information is legit and should go straight through. Anyone know why this is happening?

cheers

I take it this is in your own personal details then?

Regarding the fault, it has been there since Thursday morning.

The OP and people reading this should be warned;

I attempted to complete the process a few times, each resulting in the error which I didn't know was persistent. Around 24 hours later, a limitation was placed because of "suspicious" changes to account information - which is because your address and phone number is replicated / added to your account each time the form is submitted over and over again.

I'd recommend steering clear until it's confirmed as resolved. Their UK customer service managed to manually have the documents reviewed, so if you are reaching your limits and need them lifted urgently, that's a best bet for now.

You wont need to remove the receiving limits to start using the account. Receiving limits are removed mainly for sellers as they are expected to receive a lot of money.

Just verify her account (add bank/verify) so the sending/withdrawal limits are removed. That should suffice.

Also had the same thing happened. Provided asked for documents and now its all good.

Customer service did say this is a known issue and they are working on it.

I am not sure about others, but they've started to roll-out their fix and I've had a response to my submission within hours of submission.

This is what we like to see.

And the page in the image above is shown at /policy/hub/kyc on the PayPal website. I was approaching the limits and so produced some documents to keep it alive.

If the receiving limit was lifted, you should not be seeing that screen at all (unless of course they have changed things in the last three days).

Edit: I've had some documents approved today and it is as it always has been. When the receiving limit is lifted and you click on "View account limits", the page just refreshes. If you are still seeing that page then your receiving limit has not been lifted.

I have the same as you, but I manually visited that URL (/policy/hub/kyc) when I received the email and that is what it comes up with. It'd probably look the same if you visited it whilst logged in.

You're right enough.

It never occurred to me to try pasting in the link to that page - nice tip.

You really have posted some useful stuff during your first three days on here. Most enlightening.

I am not really sure what that achieves to be honest.

It doesn't achieve anything in particular, but if you receive a vague email (like I did) or are confused about the page refreshing when attempting to view limits, it can come in handy, as the page actually confirms that they've restored your account to good standing, which in turn means your documents were a success, so it does have its purpose when it comes to extra reassurance. It's also linked to their 'modern' limitation interface, which is stored on /restore I believe.

Thanks for the compliment. I have learned a lot over the last few years - there's things that you know and I don't and vice versa. It's the heartbeat of the forum!

I have an experimental streak, that's how I discovered the link after your limits were lifted and the eBay 'Risk Status' glitch that I posted about previously... small things can come with big helpfulness!
