I have the same question. My internet connection is on SKY but I am sharing it with other people so I don't think it would be good to change the IP... I am thinking of using Auctiva as it doesn't share your IP with ebay. But before that I want to use a dial-up connection... Can you suggest me a working one? I was thinking of Aardvaak.net but I am note sure yet. Any suggestions?

ok, go on to 192.168.0.1, user name admin password sky, after that go on to maintance, go right to bottom click on check status, click on the, it will bring you a little pop up page, with, it will say connect & disconnect, click on disconnect and after 30mins click on connect and it will change your IP, i know as i am always doing this i have 15 stealth accounts

dialup? are you having a laugh? get a dongle, it'll probably work out cheaper and will definitely be quicker.

im on sky and initially changing ip didnt work - i find if i turn it off going to bed, by the morning the ip lease has expired and i get a new address - be very careful with IPBurger.com as i have noticed the ip address on that, and the ip address shown on the sky router at its gateway address DO NOT always match - be warned - always double check the IP address in the sky status screen - best wishes

Changing TCP/IP settings will do nothing for your IP address. If you get the settings wrong you'll get no internet access.

As I said I just want to use it for the dial-up IP and then cut it off and continue using my fast and already paid internet from the router... As far as I list and do whatever on eBay through Auctiva, eBay would think that I am still on the slow dial-up... My question was if someone can suggest me a working dial-up providers?

I think if you go down that route your ip address will be linked - when you use the dialup and modem / dongle to connect to the network you will be using dhcp so the computer will get the ip address from the dongle, then disconnecting and reconnecting with your router again via dhcp would giuve you the router ip address on the fly - therefore unless your ip address had changed it would still link. Im not a network expert as only worked as it manager for a larger cellular provider for a while but i think im right
