Do you have the time to send 50 parcels a day?

And how many losses do you get with sending 50 a day with hermes? 10?

The amount of damaged parcels we get as a ratio with MyHermes compared to Royal Mail is unreal.

MyHermes are cheap for the larger size parcels but you had best make sure they are very well wrapped. They even make this suggestion themselves on their website which indicates that even they know the parcels get bashed around a lot more with them than anyone else.

Royal Mail are undoubtedly more expensive for parcels however I can honestly count in the one hand how many damaged parcels we have had with their service.

Well we dont actually sell via ebay just yet. A long term ban and recently purchased stealth account failing are the reasons for that however using Amazon as an example, we dont get low ratings or negative feedback if we reply quick and resolve quick.

If somethings broken then I know whats it like not to want to do anything as it costs money and was technically not the sellers fault however the buyer sees it that the seller should fix it. If its broken but still useable, offer a partial refund or a discount. If its broken beyond use then make sure you replace it. Always communicate quick as it really does make the difference. We get very little delivery issues or complaints and quite often you can turn a negative situation into a positive by quick and polite replies as well as resolving the situation to suit the customer.

If you want to avoid complaints or low ratings in relation to delivery then I would suggest using Royal Mail. It really depends on the size/weight of the item to determine if Royal Mail is best for you.

sometimes enough packaging is enough but to give you an example, we had a recent issue where an item came packaged inside polystyrene (thickly packed) and was inside another cardboard box as well as bagged up by our postage bags. The customer sent a picture and you would think this box had been shot by a bazooka! Its a regular occurrence with MyHermes so even when you pack well, bad things still happen to packages.

My major worry is the label getting torn. Does anyone know how much of the label you can cover with sellotape. Can I cover everything except the barcode with clear tape?

Thanks for the reply.
I've no major worry about item getting damaged as i sell clothes but always felt the label was a weak point as it could easily tear.
I do usually include a return label in my parcel.

Yes I did. a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ address is on the stealth ebay account but parcel2go have my real home address. I believe that parcel2go only share the ebay user name and (possibly) eBay password.
No-one seemed to know if it was dangerous to link the parcel2go accounts and eBay accounts so I felt i had to take the chance as doing it unlinked was too slow for preparing parcels.

I've found that using myhermes through parcel2go is cheaper than the myhermes website. I save about 34p per parcel.
