Nothing should be considered a hassle with stealth.Better than earning some minimum wage in dead end job.
Buy a mobile dongle if it disrupts your family internet time.

That raises concerns for me.

You have no way of knowing if the IP is OK.

Like sugarlace said, buy a dongle and have better control.

Good Luck.

Huawei Mifi is my choice, it's very good and reliable.

Around £50 for the unit.

£22 ish for 3 months Data only SIM with "3" that I buy on eBay.

Good Luck!

It would be no different to using a 3G dongle as the IPs are also used by other users

It is rarely a good alternative to use public IPs.

We advise users to stay away from them.

What do you think a 3G ip is? Also public and shared between many users.

another option is use your existing phone mobile ip, as a hotspot. Most households have
a few mobiles all with seperate contract and seperate ips each.....tesco as little as £7.50 pm

It isn't a good idea if BT is your ISP no. As it will most likely be your home router you end up being connected to BT-FON through anyway thus not giving you much stealth!

Tethering via your mobile phones connection would work as you get your own IP I think, ie not public. You do with 3 anyway and tethering is allowed even on a sim only plan.

tethering is banned by most networks and even 3 have discontinued it
