Default royal mail barcode ready

whats this about? i use ebay online postage to print my labels and now they have barcodes printed on the labels too.

does this mean royal mail are no longer scanning te orange barcode labels whcih i put onto my parcels? instead are scanning the tracking code on the printed barcode?

this adds alot of effort of having to manually write down this printed barcode.

ive had a few customers open item not recieved cases this passed week too and when i went to track the item it still says its been recieved at the post office and is still thier...so im guessing royal mail have scanned the pinted barcode instead of the orange label barcode.

They will scan the barcode on print out you have. I have taken to taking a picture of them all now for safe keeping. Unless you do your posting at the post office you will not need any of the orange (sign for) labels.

this just adds added effort.
now we have to write down the barcode number.

taking a picture of the barcode is ok i suppose.
another option would be to save the printed barcode pdf file ina folder i suppose.

If it prints a barcode such as KR 1234 5678 9GB then that is you tracking number so no need for the orange sticker (sign for label).

The reason I take a picture is so that I have a record of it attached to the item I am sending.
