Ok here goes, i had a running business on EB for over 2 years with PP (no limits).
Recently the EB account was closed due to them receiving high amount of negative feedback in a short period. The EB account has been suspended indefinitely, now the PP account is fine with no problems.
My Question is can i link my old PP to a new EB account by just creating a new email address? | When I was last on this forum many months ago I left because some members didn't like the fact that I posted info which didn't agree with the accepted knowledge.
I had a paypal account limited because I screwed up the ID check but I simply opened a new one and connected it to my existing ebay account .
I was told they would link them but here we are 18 months later and all is well.
Similarly I had an ebay account banned from selling 2 years ago but the paypal account that was connected to remained open and I continueed to use the ebay account to buy.
So a few months back I opened a new ebay account and I am using the same paypal account that I use to buy goods on the ebay account which has a selling ban.
Now by all accounts on here none of that should work.
Now I'm not saying the info on here is inaccurate - it is always best to start both fresh if you can but if either ebay or paypal is well established there's no need to throw it away just because this site says so.
Ok, they might catch you down the line but if you ensure names and addresses are different , verifications etc are all done correctly and take the usual steps different IP etc ( although my most recent ebay account and the one with the selling ban use the same IP too) you can continue to use the ebay accounts as long as possible.
18 months seems quite good. If I'd followed the advice on here immediately I'd have thrown away 18 months of good feedback.
All I'm saying is don't waste accounts but be prepared to have to follow the usual routes if things go wrong.
You won't lose out by using a new ebay account. As usual start slowly by buying a few items , then sell a few then wait for them to increase limits.
Then if they catch on you can go the established route and start both again but a nice verified paypal account should not be dismissed for nothing
