Default What can be done to remove listing from exposure without deleting it?

I consider this item high risk because it is low cost and does not use tracking and it could potentially affect my account reputation with "late delivery".

Although, while I dispatch same day or next day even though its set to 5 days dispatch and 3-5 wrking days delivery, some pple will give you great feedbacks yet still tick the late delivery, most especially when the item is lost in post and you have to replace them. So, I have come to a conclusion to temporarily stop selling this product on my Top rated seller account.

The issue is, I dont want to take the drastic approach of deleting the item from my listing. I am just looking at a way to possibly stop them from showing up to buyers. One idea I have is to inflate the price x10 such that no one will ever think of buying it but I would like some more clever ideas.

Inflating the price is good idea - inflating the SHIPPING is another.

If you have a shop, and it is a good till cancelled listing, you can use the out of stock option. You can set the quantity to 0 and the listing will be hidden.

Then when you resume selling just increase the quantity. Youl have the same sales history and search position.

Shipping = shipping price/cost - didn't think it needed to be fully written out

This seem to be a very great approach. I am not sure I have seen the "out of stock option" before. I will begin investigate it now.

Thanks

I can't remeber how to set it up now.

You would be best googling it. I'm pretty sure you need to turn the option on in your settings.

Hi
Yes out of stock option works. But you will need to have an ebay shop and be a business seller if i remember correctly.
Basic shop fee is about £17/month.
Then you can select "good til cancelled" on the listing and when your out of stock just Zero your stock on the listing. It will still show unser your selling items but buyers wont be able to see it.

Good luck

I just find out this on ebay.

Go to Account >> Site preference >> Selling preference to enable out-of-stock.

Once you opt in, it will automatically apply to all your Good 'Til Cancelled listing with multiple quantities. The listings will remain active but is hidden from search until you increased the quantity.

Furthermore, the listing will automatically end after 90 days in Out-of-stock
