Default 3d secure ebay

hi everyone - trying to pay for a purchase on ebay - popup appears to login to paypal, i login to my paypal then it says processing then it goes into a infinite loop of saying processing, usually it would ask for the 3d secure (verified by visa) password but its not getting to that stage, ive used my card on other sites so its not my card or the 3d secure system

ive changed browsers, ip etc deleted cookies etc etc - tried on my phone, different computers, tried a different item, my friends account is doing the same thing..

is anyone else having a problem with ebay 3d secure, pretty sure its a ebay/paypal glitch - its basically not working when prompting with 3d secure.

is anyone else having this problem with 3d secure ? - have ebay/paypal disabled this function?

its been like this for a week now.

its got nothing to do with confirming the account, its happening with confirmed accounts, cant even pay for something worth £30 if it prompts for 3d secure - goes through fine when it doesnt ask for 3d secure.

its not that, its an ebay/paypal issue, the 3d secure system is not working correctly at the moment, anytime it prompts for it, it goes into a loop. tried it on multiple accounts etc, im clued up so its not something as simple as changing browsers etc.

I have used it today without any issue so it does seem that not something effecting most accounts. Its works talking to your card issuer as they will be able to see if its ever getting to the stage of trying to charge the card. If it is not then you would need to talk to VBV, if they still cannot work out what is going on then PayPal are the guys to talk to

if this happens it is because the PP system is blocking the transaction (risk evaluation). wait for 24hours and try again. you also may have internal/hidden limits on your account, which mean after 24hours your account will be good for transactions under say £50 anything over and the system will block you for a further 24hours.
I know the above is true. Just, not 100% on how to remove the restriction. I think ageing and good standing may have something to do with it.

hope this helps
