Default Mobile Network '' 3 '' (Three) DONGLE ebay/paypal IP address

Mobile Network '' 3 '' (Three) DONGLE ebay/paypal IP address

hi all

I thought i would share some information and experience on my trailing of this product

I previously used Virgin Media/Telewest for my broadband connection but it suffered badly from issuing the same IP address - tinkering and tweaking would mean a simple IP address change could take 10-15 mins - with resetting routers/reboots etc

The UK mobile network 3 (Three) Welcome to 3 launched the 3G based dongle modem that allows broadband-esque speeds on the move with your laptop

The RRP for the Pay As You Go version is £49.99 and you have to buy your data allowance packages in GB bundles (1gb give me more than enough for one ones usage personally)

3 - Mobile Broadband - Price plans

1GB is £10 and lasts 30 days

Now i have been using the 3 dongle for approx 4 months now and as with the practice of keeping under eBay/PayPal's radar i have to say the service has been fab

Coverage for me has been superb, just a shade slower that my static broadband connection

but the cherry on the cake is my dongle has yet to issue the same IP twice

Different IP address every day, EACH & every time !!

This is wonderful news and i will be continuing to use 3 for my limited eBay/PayPal access in future

This method has been used to access x5 different eBay and PayPal accounts and not ONE issue in last 4 months, no limitations/fund freezes - NOTHING

Hope this helps UK folk in a IP address bind

be lucky
PAULUSS

Great post Pauluss!!!

I too am currently using 3 mobile broadband and I can confirm too that the IP address changes every time you connect to the web.

I have been using various eBay and Paypal accounts and have not had any problems either over recent months. Hopefully that will continue...

I use 3 Mobile broadband as well in two countries
Only drawback is their off-shore customer service.

Yes their customer service is pathetic. Even eBay's customer service is better. LOL!!!

[QUOTE=tardiscentral;64197]Great post Pauluss!!!

that the IP address changes every time you connect to the web.

Careful guys, if you check your mobile settings in the advanced tabs
yes you have dynamic addressing BUT only within a certain range
ie, 182, 45, 78, 13 (14) (15) (16) (17)

Check with IPBurger or ipchicken when you have authenticated onto
the network and check your ip address, i used one for well over a year
but it does sometimes lease you the same ip you used, for example
the night before, I got suspended this way, so always check.

Glad to hear you are all rolling though !!

Good luck all !!!!!!!!!

it better if you buy with a mobile phone all broadband offers 50% off so
1gb 18 month is £5 a month
5gb 18 month is £7.50 a month

plus 3 offer better offers then most of the u.k networks at the moment
and the coverage is not bad

I got myself a t mobile internet dongle. Recieved it today

Thought i will share the offer that they have.

I got mine from dial a phone. Its costing be £15 a month but after redemption it works out to be £10 odd a month.

You get 3 gb usage. I also have a contract phone from them so they gave me £20 for reffering myself.

If anyone is planning on getting this then let me know i will give you my number. You can say you got reffered from me. 28 days later they will pay me £20 and i will split it with you.

Cheers

Why not buy yourself a tmobile one from dialaphone.com give them my mobile number and after 28 days of you succesfully being connected i will give you £10

the rental will cost you £15 a month however through there redemption scheme it works out about £10 + few pennies a month.

pm me if you wanna go ahead with it

best move i made. new ip address everytime
