i am currently setting up a basic account with natwest. I recieved a letter which asked me to confirm the details and send it back to them so they can open up my account, but, they also asked for proof of identity (passport etc.) and my address (driving licence etc.). I set up the account under a nickname that does not match the name i have on my passport and and driving licence, (everything else matches- only my name is different). an example would be if my real name was john wilson i would setup an account under the name of jonathon marcus wilsson (change the spelling and add a middle name)
can anyone tell me if they will accept the documents as mine or should i start from scratch and give all of my real details including my name. Also, if i do use my real name, will this cause problems with paypal as i have previously been banned using my real info? I know that paypal cannot see my address through my bank account so that should not matter but it is mentioned in the stealth guide that the name on the bank account should match that of the paypal account that you set up.
However, i have also read on the forum that you can set up a real bank account with all the correct info (name, address, everything) as long as you don't put money into your paypal account from your bank account, as paypal cannot see your name or address on the bank account attached.
this topic has been discussed a number of times but i am really stuck on what would be the best solution as people are saying different things and i would love a definitive answer to what is the correct way to set up an bank account that will be used on a stealth account.
can anyone please confirm the best solution and if a natwest basic account is a good account to use with a stealth account?
Thanks
