Using Paypal funds on an unverified Paypal account

I know that a Paypal account needs a bank account (in any name) to become verified but I was just wondering whether it is possible to open a Paypal account and, whilst being unverified, accept a small amount of funds (up to £100) from sales on eBay, and then spend the funds through a site which uses Paypal as a merchant account (such as CD WOW! UK - Welcome to our music and movie store - Free Delivery Worldwide) without being limited. I have used Paypal for years but always used a verified account until now and if anybody can advise or let me know their experiences I would be very grateful.

If you don't have a bank account on file, would you be able to accept credit card/debit card payments?

Can you accept card payments without having a verified account?

I believe you can, just that you need to upgrade to a Premier/Business account in order to accept credit card payments whilst being unverified.

Can anyone else confirm?

This is correct, ebay/paypal don't care if you're verified or not, as it is your problem, especially when you try to make a withdrawal, you will instantly be limited.
