Default Bank Accounts advise on PAYPAL

I have set up the entro pay card and just waiting for the deposits to show so i can get verified. My problem is that ive set up a paypal and ebay account in a fake name. I now need to account a bank account to this account , obviously this is in another legit name not the name on the paypal account.

How can i imput the feel account holders name if the name is defaulted to the fake name . how do you get around this problem.

IM UK by the the way

thanks

The names are not checked, once you submit your sort code and account number - that is all that is required. The names can be completely different - they do not have to match.

Just make sure that you use bank details that you have never used on Paypal.

Hope this helps.

I was actually concerned when I first read that message as my account name does not match my paypal account name - however the funds transfered over flawlessly.

This seems to have been confirmed already by other members on the board, so again no problems have been reported with this not working.

True, but when the answer comes from Modee it carries that much more weight, no? Plus there are SOME banks that DO provide the name and exchange account holder info with PayPal, and you will not find that list anywhere on this forum. Only in Modee's private reserve.

UK has data protection act, no UK bank will provide the actual name of the account holder to paypal, not yet anyway, not until ebay start buying shares in banks.

what does this mean then?

As part of our security measures, we regularly screen activity in the PayPal system. During a recent screening, we noticed an issue regarding your account.

Your bank notified us of unauthorised Electronic Fund Transfers from your bank account

PayPal does indeed provide the actual name of the account holder to some banks. This is based on actual experience of my tech support clients both in the U.S. and U.K.

But this does not mean this is what happened to you MrBluesky. Would need more info to analyze the situation.

It's a mess. You can see what the people here have to say, and if it doesn't get anywhere, PM me for tech support. I solved a similar problem for someone else recently, but his situation was very slightly different.

does it sound like the bank deposits from paypal where not allowed to be re-called due to the name difference?

No the bank deposits is not the problem, did you try and verify your paypal account via telephone verification?, if yes did you use a real landline number or a voip number?, if you used voip, this method doesn't work, which is one reason paypal would want you to complete address verification by receiving mail at that address.

Also I will reiterate from my personal experience, I have so far opened 10 new paypal accounts and have verified them via bank deposits through various bank accounts and not one of these bank accounts had the exact name that was registered with paypal.

Nothing should have changed as I finished setting up a backup account a couple of days ago.

That's how it usually works, enter details, next, next and you're done, I've never been re-directed to setting up a bank page.

Sorry couldn't be of more help.

Have you created a second "virtual" account with your main Entropay account and used the "virtual" account for the verification?
Entropay - worked for me in the UK

Quasi_Mojo could be right, I didn't think of that, are you trying to create your new paypal account using the same entropay card or did you create a new virtual card?, if you are using the same card then you can ditch that account now, as you're already linked.
