The reviews of rapidshare on the internet range from "it is an out and out scam" to "it sucks dustbunnies."
Example reviews: File Hosting Review: RapidShare Review RapidShare - The worst file host ever seen This site is simply bad and useless as i paid for the premium account and guess what i got? 2 files download limit per day and sux speed for the service I paid for. This is a scam isn't it? I also discovered that this site is related to the major warez forums and sites. I e-mailed them but no reply? Hey! owners from RapidShare, please refund my money back. Rapidshare just bad It was kinda good before, now they just suck dustbunnies through a straw. The so-called 'Premium account' is a major scam, you won't get what you pay for. My advice: Stay away, or get used to being cheated by these scammers. They lie and wont even answer emails, their FAQ is just BS and more lies. I will never use them again.

Rapidshare's a file hosting service, the world biggest and probably the fastest. Most of the files hosted there are warez stuff like movies, games and software... The guy (robert) must have bought this account with the rewards points he had and now he is selling it to make some money. The price is pretty good but I wouldn't dare pay someone via e-gold...

Rapid share is full of porn and illegal content.
Many people use it to host porn through ppc website links. Basically if you want unrestricted downloads you need to be a member which can range from 24 hours, 7 days, 6months 1year etc. you can use it for free to dl something but your restricted to like 1 dl every hour or so, but they inforce this based on your IP address, as most of us know how to change our IP address this wouldn't be a problem. |

I have a premium account now and its a great thing to have esp. if u download, courses, pdf files, music, etc. Without it you have to wait like an hour to download another file but if you have an rapidshare acccount, you can download as many links you want at a time. Its usually 11.00/month so its worth the money, I just couldnt buy via egold

Yea I have to agree Modee, I don't know where this review of Rapidshare being a scam came from but I'm sure if you search again now you will find quite a different ring this time. I'm sure the millions of users of Rapidshare can at least attest to not being scammed. Rapidshare is an excellent file hosting source, not as good as Megaupload but it is still decent.
