Hmm.. My first website is orange and white http://www.mortgagefox.co.uk. I might have to have a rethink about that. If blue and white sites get better results then how do sites with other colour schemes do? Is there anything published on this? – ie colours that help to make visitors feel you are more trustworthy. Ill try and find a list and report back if i do. I know the old.. wear a blue tie in court theory, but i never considered websites. I notice that your site now has a blue background and blue headings.. Im sure it used to be more of a wheaty colour before..

Actually your website looks very professional. Blue and white sites are great, but white is really the key here. People like a clean looking site without too much going on. Blue is a neutral color, that doesn’t scare a visitor away, so that’s why a lot of people choose it. You can check out what colors mean to a visitor here.

guess you beat me to it on that one!
I was thinking i might use different color boxes to highlight some of the parts of content so im experimenting with a blue and a green, but as you say keeping a lot of whitespace around everything. My css skills arentas good as my photoshop.. so ill have to work on the text layout more.
