Blog and Forum Updates?

Posted on by Donald in Adventure, Intresting Stuff Leave a comment

Changes in the blog and forums! So I decided I wanted to change the way the eBay forums looked, and so I ventured out to good old Google to find some great skins to replace the default theme. I came across an orange, Halloween looking style which I thought was perfect for the site! None the less no one liked it and I’m back to the default theme. 🙁

I guess I’ll keep the forum the way it is, and just do a logo update; something that says eBay Suspension Forums, with some crazy font of course. Maybe I’ll make one tonight. Blue and white are usually good combos!

And so I have a new blog theme going. What do you guys think of it? Except for the Jason foggy water up top, I think it’s clean and simple! I also added a gallery, which I got the idea from another internet marketer’s blog. Shoemoney!

I like it! What do you think?

Clickbank Update! Broke $100 today! Almost!

Posted on by Donald in Adventure, CPA, Recommends, To-Do Leave a comment

Quick update for you on Clickbank! Since I posted my Clickbank stats a couple days ago, the last couple days my stats have increased by almost 3X as much! I’m doing a little email marketing and tweaking and adding more ads to my websites, and it seems to be working. Out of 50+ websites I have access to; I’ve only monetized 3 with Clickbank ads! What if I do them all? I’m excited!

What steps will I take now?

  1. I want to monetize the remaining sites of mine. Using banners, and simple links as advertisements.
  2. I’ll continue working on a new auto responder I setup for affiliate commissions. So Far I’ve created 4 weekly emails with basic reviews and discounts on products. I’ll add this email sign up to all sites. So far I had 68 new signups today! Yay!
  3. I’ll create new content for more advertisement in the future. Niche content to products I’m promoting. I created a new forum today!
  4. I’ll start creating a review products page with competing products and advertise with adsense. I think this will make the big bucks.

clickbank72007That’s it for the next couple days. Once I get this done, I’ll let you know how Clickbank is doing again. I must say, I love Clickbank! This is the only affiliate network I’ve tried, it won’t be the last, and if it’s a taste of what’s to come, I’m game! I can’t wait to try other networks! Why break you back with eBay, your own store, or even creating your own products when you can sell someone else’s products and get half the profit? They do all the work, and you get paid? What’s not to love about that?

Okay that’s enough Clickbank today; I’ll update you when I break $200 a day! Hopefully soon!

What I’m doing – Moving WordPress Sites

Posted on by Donald in Adventure, How-To, Life, To-Do Leave a comment

We’ll I think I’ve come to the point where I can say I’ve mastered WordPress Blogs. I think I can say that because one, I have over 50 wordpress blogs now, each with their own domain and content. Most content are unique guides for MMORPG games, and others are news blogs, spitting up post based on keywords I feed them. And two, for the past week I’ve been moving most of my sites to my new server at The Planet, which I must say is awesome so far!

In order to move a blog, you must first move all files over to the new host. This it self can take 10-20 minutes depending how many files you have and the software used to move them. I highly recommend using GlobalSCAPE CuteFTP 8.0. I’m using CuteFTP to move the final 4 sites I have on my to-do list.

The PlanetOnce your files are moved you then need to create a backup of your database from your old host to import to the new host. This is pretty straight forward. Simply use phpMyAdmin which both host should have to create the backup and import. If you host doesn’t have this already installed, then you’ll have to install phpMyAdmin your self, which I found to be somewhat of pain the first time I tried to do it. Actually it wasn’t so bad, but the instructions I had were horrible! I hate when people assume you know what they’re talking about when trying to show you how to do something. It makes things so much harder to do, for me at least! Anyways, if you’re having trouble with phpMyAdmin you can use Putty if you have root access to your host. You can read my Using Putty To Import A Database post if you want to learn how to do that.

So that’s what I’m doing right now and for the past week. Moving my wordpress blogs! I only have 4 left! I’m so happy I’m almost done. You may think it’s easy, but moving a butt load of sites in less then a week isn’t. It takes my about 30 to 60 minutes to move one site. That’s only if I don’t have any problems with the files, database, DNS, ISP, Server Issues, or any other random glitches. So far it hasn’t been so bad.

Cheers!

Spurs WIN!!!

Posted on by Donald in Adventure, Fun Leave a comment

My home town San Antonio Spurs has done it again!

parkerspursFinals MVP Tony Parker scored 24 points, Manu Ginobili had 27 — 13 in the fourth quarter — and the Spurs, who bounced over from the ABA in 1976, moved in among the NBA’s greatest franchises with an 83-82 victory Thursday night for a sweep of the Cavaliers — court jesters through much of their first finals.

With their fourth championship since 1999 — and third in five years — the Spurs joined the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls as the only teams in NBA history to win four titles.

And No. 5 might not be far away either with Parker, Ginobili and Tim Duncan leading this Texas-oiled machine. Coach Gregg Popovich and the Spurs, now a perfect 4-for-4 together in finals appearances, spent most of the postseason dismissing talk that they should be considered a dynasty.

But with titles in 1999, 2003, 2005 and 2007, there’s no more reason to pretend they aren’t one.

As the final seconds ticked off on Cleveland’s finest season, Duncan stood at center court with both arms raised triumphantly as the rest of the Spurs danced around their center in a huddle. San Antonio’s star sought out Cleveland’s Eric Snow, but was unable to find James in the pandemonium.

Moments later, the Spurs put on champions baseball caps, which has almost become a June ritual for them.

wallparkerThe final moments were hectic, though, as the Spurs needed every last free throw to hold off the Cavaliers, who made a last stand at home in a season of seasons for their once downtrodden franchise.

Cleveland went on an 11-0 run to open the fourth quarter, taking its first lead in any second half of the series on James’ drive with 7:55 left. Cleveland went up 63-60 on Daniel Gibson’s drive, but that’s when Duncan and Co. showed why they’re champions.

Ginobili scored inside, was fouled and missed his free throw. But Duncan muscled into the lane and tipped in the miss to make it 66-63. The Cavs tied it, but Ginobili, who didn’t make a field goal in Game 3, dropped a 3-pointer, and when James missed a 3, the Spurs regained control by outworking Cleveland.

Duncan and Fabricio Oberto scrapped for offensive rebounds as the Spurs kept the ball for nearly two minutes before Oberto’s three-point play made it 72-66 with 2:29 remaining. Duncan then poked the ball away from James and Oberto scored underneath to give San Antonio a 74-66 lead.

James, possibly a little tired following the early morning birth of his second son, hit another 3-pointer but Ginobili responded again with a tough runner in the lane to make it 76-69.

Damon Jones made three free throws and James made another 3-pointer, but Ginobili made four free throws in the final seven seconds and immediately began celebrating a title that was all but inevitable.

San Antonio’s four-game sweep was the eighth since the finals began in 1947.

gospursParker, who averaged 24.5 points on 57 percent shooting, became the first European-born player to be honored as MVP. Until now, he was mostly viewed as a pretty decent player with a prettier fiance, TV actress Eva Longoria.

When Parker was handed his trophy, his soon-to-be-bride wiped away tears.

The 25-year-old, though, was an unstoppable, silver-and-black blur against the Cavs, who had no one who could contain him and who looked like they stumbled into their first finals by accident.

James had Cleveland fans believing the city’s 43-year championship drought was about to end. However, he had a rough introduction to the league’s climactic event, one he figures to reach again.

He shot just 10-of-30 in Game 4 — and only 36 percent in the series — and never figured out how to rise above or get around the Spurs, whose defensive schemes were designed to make the other Cavaliers beat them.

James scored 24 points, and while he took the Cavaliers as far as they’ve ever gone, he failed to give them new life in this series on the same day his second son, Bryce Maximus James, was born.

Duncan, an MVP in his first three finals, had only 12 points but grabbed 15 rebounds.

But the 31-year-old, whose arrival in 1997 in San Antonio is the launching point for the Spurs’ ascension, he got his fourth ring and helped a few of the other Spurs — Michael Finley, Jacque Vaughn and Brent Barry — win their first.

Spurs forward Robert Horry got another one, too, his seventh — the most by a non-Celtics player.

Spurs finish off Cavs to win fourth title in nine years

Wow I’m Sore!

Posted on by Donald in Adventure, Life Leave a comment

I spent a couple hours with my personal trainer yesterday, and man today I’m sore! It’s an overall type of sore, mostly upper body as that’s what I was working-out yesterday. We did mostly stabilizer ball exercises, which works a lot more muscles while doing an exercise. It was tough! I wanted to go to the gym today as well, but forget that! I think I’m going to hit a movie and work on some websites.

By the way, I finally finished creating all my websites; I now have a total of 75 websites, 60 of which are blogs like this one. Fifty blogs are specifically for generating traffic for my main selling sites. The other 10 are random personal blogs and friend’s blogs I’m working on. The other 15 sites are a mix of personal projects and sites specific for my business. I’m in the works on creating two new websites, one a major forum for MMORPG’s and the other a kind of affiliate site for my business.

Right now I’m working on maintaining these recent sites I created, I have to fine tune their ads and links with their specific topics and design. They’re 75% there, I just need to another week and they’ll be perfect! And then all I have to do is maintain their content which I have software that helps me do that. 🙂 I’ll talk more about the software I use when I have more time to write reviews for them.

Other then that, I’m trying to speed as much time in the eBay Suspension forum as I can as well as thinking about the next few hectic months I’ll be having. I have to drive to California, pick up a car of mine, drive it back, fix it and then sell it. Then a week after I come back from California I have to go to Georgia to help my sister move back to Texas. And then I’m going to buy a house! All this within 2-3 months! I’m really happy I have Modee, a great Admin to the forums and other moderators to my new eBay suspension forum. You guys are great! This is the first forum I’ve created, so it’s a kind of practice one before I have to create my monster MMORPG forum in a couple weeks. Thanks guys, long live eBay?!

In about a week’s time, when my blog sites are done tweaking, I’ll start marketing overall to all my sites, mostly from back links from high ranking websites. This will increase Google spiders and pages will start to be indexed more quickly, this includes the eBay forum. Once that happens, be ready to see an increase of visitors!

That’s the plan and I’m sticking to it!

Fucked up Cruse at Cielo Vista

Posted on by Donald in Adventure Leave a comment

Every Saturday night in San Antonio a group of us meet at the ‘Old Albertsons’ on Babcock and Prue road. On average there are 10-20 people there with all sorts of vehicles like a 350z Nissan, Honda Civics, Accords, Ford Mustangs, Mazda RX7s and other nice vehicles. We are just a group of people who love cars and like to meet like minded people to talk about cars. During these meets we sometimes go on cruises to different locations and like to push our vehicles to their full potential. One spot would be the Cielo Vista road down I10 highway. Cielo Vista is about a mile long road with a lot of twist and turns some almost 90 degrees; the road has a dead end turn around. In our group we have some hardcore drifters, some who just want to watch and others that are just starting out. We’re a mixed group of good people.

On this particular night Fu (drifter car) and Robert lead the group up the road; Brian and Zach (350z) went 2nd. I (POS Oldsmobile because my mustang is in the shop J ) and Sam followed in 3rd. We usually all head up the hill together but there was a problem with another car behind me which left the rest of the group behind.

As usual Fu and Brian left me behind as they sped up the road going 50-60 MPH on the sharp turns. It was the first time driving my Oldsmobile this way and I must say it held up pretty well. Powered with a V6 3.0 engine, every turn was answered by my passenger Sam with words as, ‘SLOW DOWN!’, There’s a Sharp Turn Ahead!, Ahhh! and other frantic statements.

Once we reached the top of the hill we turned and waited for the rest of the group. About 5 minutes later we saw a strange vehicle coming towards us. The vehicle which looked like a truck had its high beams set on us as it proceeded to block our exit. The driver then jumped out of his vehicle with a laser pointed M16 Assault Rifle! He placed an ammunition clip in the rifle and started to walk towards us!

At this time I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. I have only once been a situation like this but that’s another story. I just couldn’t believe that there was a guy 10 feet away from me pointing an assault weapon at us. It didn’t register until the guy acting like Rambo locked and loaded his weapon making a metal on metal sound. Was this guy going to rob us? Did he want to steal Brian’s 350z Nissan? Or even kill us?

Once locked and loaded the guy pointed his rifle towards us and said he wanted our driver’s licenses. As Brian reached for his wallet you could see the laser pointed on his forearm. We were all stunned and afraid for our lives. Who is this hillbilly pointing an assault rifle at us? Zach the youngest of us was shaken. Sam and Fu didn’t say a word. Robert my brother was mad. He asked the guy several irrelevant questions and proceeded to curse at the stranger. Brian handed his ID to the stranger as well as the rest of us. The stranger took our ids and said he was placing us on “citizen’s arrest” for tearing up the road and doing donut holes. We simple drove up the road, parked our cars and waited for the rest of our friends. We did nothing wrong. Brian called the cops.

Parked on top of a hill away from the world we were hostages by a crazed man with an M16 Assault Rifle. After 5 minutes the guy backed up towards his vehicle, still pointing his weapon towards us and stood there waiting I assume for the cops. We stood helplessly in his headlights like deer.

Zach said something funny to cheer us up. Brian and my brother continued to provoke the stranger while waiting for the cops. One statement I remember my brother saying is, Fuck you! towards the stranger. We called our friends waiting on the bottom of the hill to tell them not to come and let them know that we were being held hostage by a crazed man. Zach farted a few times, claiming it was stress related. He later peed on the side of the road. Sam and Fu were surprisingly calm. Brian was very angry. He called his mother which I believe he said she is a lawyer and asked her for advice. Twenty minutes into the wait the guy with the assault rifle turned his car around and started to take off. Robert asked where he was going. The guy said the cops knew where he lived and knew where we were. I believe the guy went back to his house, which is on that street, to store his assault rifle. Brian wanted to give chase because the guy had our ID’s. We decided to wait for the cops.

Ten minutes later SAPD shows up and said, ‘Everyone raise your hands, who has the assault rifle!?’ Brian came to the rescue here and explained the situation. Brian also informed the cops his father is a Captain in SAPD and surprisingly the cops knew him. They told us to put our hands down and asked us a few more questions.

The sheriff arrives! The sheriff who we’re sure is a friend of the crazed man with the assault rifle blames everything on us. We were wrong to be there. The man pointing the weapon at us on a public road did nothing wrong. He had the right to kill you, which I’m sure was bullshit he said to scare us. He had nothing on us. We were parked on the road with no signs of donut holes being done. The sheriff gave our ids back and told us to leave and to never come back. This was fine for us!

We took off to HEB where the rest of our fiends were parked waiting. We hurriedly told them to leave, ‘the cops are behind us, take off!’.

Brian later said he was thinking about jumping the guy with the assault rifle as he handed his ID over, but didn’t want to take the chance. He wasn’t sure if we would jump in to help him. I told him I would help and I know my brother would help. I’m pretty sure the rest of the people with us would have helped but I’m glad he didn’t take that chance. As Brian said, ‘the man with the gun makes the rules.’

Tonight could have been a very bad but it wasnt. No one was hurt or went to jail. We all came home safe and now have a story to tell or write. One thing I have learned is that its good to know people high up in the chain of command and I for one will never go up Cielo Vista again! Its a sweet drifting road but its not worth getting shot by a Crazy Rambo Wanna be Motherfucker! I recommend if you do go down Cielo Vista road, do not stop for anyone! Turn your happy self around once you reach the top and keep going! If you see a large white vehicle approaching you!! FLOOR IT!!

California Trip Just Started – $3000 Already Spent!

Posted on by Donald in Adventure Leave a comment

Considering I live and eat for free where I’m staying… $3000 spent is ridiculous.

The list:

  • $500 insurance deductible to fix my truck
  • $600 to buy train tickets to California.
  • $300 for a new phone (I jumped in a pool with my old one.)
  • $50 Swimwear
  • $200 hotel room for one night
  • $200 loss at a Indian Casino
  • $200 odds and ends
  • $600 first class plane ticket home
  • $150 I pay for dinner night.

Equals $2800 in 10 days! SOB!

cali3.jpgI know I’m forgetting a few things, so add another $200 and we have $3000! WOW! This is not even counting the stuff I have to pay for, car payments, insurance, house, two phone payments, cable, internet and more. I estimate to spend another $1000 the last two weeks I’m here. ARG!

Was it worth it?

cali81.jpgI’ve rode a train for the first time. I’m getting ready to fly first-class airfare for the first time. I’ve seen the famous California La Brea Tar Pits, and million year old dinosaurs being prepared for display. I ran my business away from home for the first time with success. I loss and won decent amounts of money at a Indian Casino. I’ve seen such beautiful sceneries while here. I drove on the edge of the Pacific Ocean with a crazy half asleep simi-drunk person going up to 90mph while trying to watch the dolphins jump out the ocean and survived. I’ve watched a nothing fight from a five story balcony in the middle of the night. I’ve got so drunk I puked all over my self and not care. I’m getting a tan from going swimming often. I’ve made an angry cat like me. I visited a small Danish town and ate some free chocolate. I’ve learned so much about the world outside Texas.

cali4.jpgI can go on and on, but the point is money comes and goes. Living in a beautiful place rent free and with good friends is Priceless. At least that’s what my Visa card tells me.

Can’t Drive… Taking a Train

Posted on by Donald in Adventure Leave a comment

Since I hit a deer a few day’s ago, my truck is now in a body shop and I was forced to take a train for my trip to California. The train ride took a long time! Almost two whole days! Luckily I had an entertaining friend who rode along with me, who her self was stranded. She was riding with me in my truck to California when I hit the deer, I blame her for it. Lol Just kidding. 🙂

AMTRAK_009.sized.jpgThe train ride was boring, we slept most of the way and the food and service stank. I know next time to take a plane which would take only a couple hours, instead of a couple of days wasted on a train. We stayed in a small room, with a bunk bed, and a pull out bed. The person I was taking the trip with, didn’t like heights, and she like to sleep a lot… so I was basically forced to sleep too, which sucked.

The AC was out most of the trip. We stopped it seems every 30 minutes. When I did finally go to sleep, the beds were horrible! I had a back ache either way I slept!

We did have a power source though, so I got to play games on my laptop. Space Rangers 2 is a blast! It takes some time getting used to, but it’s very addicting.

Well, we finally made it to California this morning. I just took a shower, and I’m ready to start my vacation with my friends.
