Default Stealth Leakage

I am running a stealth account on my laptop, on a second windows user with a VPN. I was doing some product research on a site that I have not visited in the past. After I was done, I closed all the chrome windows, disconnected from the VPN, sign off that windows user account and signed back into my original windows user account. I was going through the Facebook feed later that night, and saw an ad for those sites I was doing the product research in my facebook feed. How is this possible?? Should I be worried?

PS. On the second user account I have never signed on to facebook or my personal google chrome account.

I would guess that facebook has a cookie of some sort on your computer that monitors such things and reports back for marketing purposes. Before malware went corporate these were considered virii and we paid people to remove them from our computers. But nowdays you give facebook permission to put malware on your computer in order to watch everything you do when you sign into their website. Its buried deep in there TOS somewhere Im sure.
Sorry for the rant. I hope that was mildly helpful. You really need a dedicated computer or VPS to keep from bleeding data back and forth or eventually it will bite you.

Thanks.
I am not too worried about Facebook. I want to make sure I am not going to screw myself over with Amazon.

There is some sort of cookie which Facebook were able to use to be able to market the sites to you. Although I dont think its anything to really worry about.
