Default Buying from Company A and selling through company B on amazon ?

Hi
We run a beauty store in the high streets of Chelmsford town centre. We trade on all branded products from our store. We have distributors to supply us the branded products for our store.
Now we are planning to trade these branded beauty and healthcare products in amazon online.
How can we do this?
Important Note
1. Wholesaler/Distributor will supply us only in the name of our high street store (Company A)
2. If we open an amazon shop on the same name (as our high street store name) then our wholesalers will not supply us if they see us selling on amazon.
3. So, I am planning to open an amazon store from a different company (Company B)
4. The plan is to buy from wholesalers though Company A and sell in amazon through Company B. Does it work? Is there any restrictions or amazon policy against it?
5. Internally I can invoice from company A to company B.
6. Sometimes amazon questions the inauthenticity of a brand and requests invoices. Will they accept the invoice from company A which is the supplier to Company B.
I am looking forward for your comments and suggestions to help me on this please.

Thanks

Unfortunately, this wont work. The brands will see the company B selling on Amazon and will put in a complaint forcing you to prove authenticity.

Amazon will only accept invoices/authorisation letters from authorised distributors.

why do you want to sell on AMZN when you know your supplier does not want its products to be sold on AMZN?

Try negotiating with your supplier, they may allow you to sell on Amazon if you were to pay an annual fee.

Thank for your responses. Much appreciated.

My supplier is a wholesaler, he is not the direct manufacturer or direct distributor. As Garry said I will negotiate with my wholesaler for selling on amazon. On this case even if my wholesaler allow me to sell on amazon, will i be able to sell the branded beauty products?

The question is if amazon questions me on authenticity and authorization letter. Will they accept the invoice and authorization letter i get from my wholesaler(bearing in mind he is not the direct manufacturer / distributor) ?

If the wholesaler is authorised by the beauty brand to sell and that the brand themselves allow for the product to be sold on Amazon well then it would be fine.

This wont work. They will file a counterfeit claim. We had quite a few products we found out was not allowed to sell on Amazon (or online) after purchase and after we sent them FBA. The wholesaler simply "didnt know" this was product policy.

Exactly that is what happened. They filed a counterfeit claim and we had to jump through extraordinary amount of hoops just to get the claim off our account.

Appreciate your responses. It is very much helpful.

In the first place, I thought Amazon will not allow us to list those products which are brand registered with them.
How can we find - which brands are restricted and which are not ? Is there any tools or any where in amazon site to check this ? In knowing this it will help us to avoid listing such products.

Is there any prudent steps to be followed while listing a product - so we are confident that we avoid any authenticity / counterfeit problems ?

I cant help you with the list ,but you asked about using company A to buy from wholesaler and use company B to sell on AMZN,if AMZN ask to see vendor receipts, can you show receipts from A to B?
Since A is another retailer,AMZN would not accept it.
how about creating a holding company, call it AB holding, and order from wholesaler, then when AMZN asked to see receipts, show AB holding receipt, indicate to AMZN your company B is part of AB Holding?
and as a business practice ,you always buy from wholesaler, manufactuer using AB hOLDING?

I used to go to the post office every day,you would be surprised who else is selling on Ebay?
Brick and mortar shops meeting rent, disposing stale ,blemished, returns goods.
Money is money,Right?

I did.
This may be off topic, but there used t o be a company called Glassmaster, they make decorative glass panels with painted scenes ,they look like stained glass but without the price tag of stained glass.
They are sold in gift shops and then internet comes along and many wannabe weekend warriors will buy some and sell them for good profit on ebay and amzn, then more wannabe piled in and they will dropship for them.
Eventually the brick and mortar shops cannot compete and stop ordering these glass panels and the company will have to rely on us ,they finally filed for bankruptcy.
If you search on Ebay now,you may find some pieces, they ask for high prices as they are no longer made,I still have a few of their masterpieces hanging from my window, once they are broken, they cant be replaced.unless someone revives that business.

search for such products on AMZN,read the reviews and read the feedback of the sellers .
dont be surprised if your competitors or wholesaler are selling already

the category you want to sell in could be gated as well, getting ungated is also a chore if you arent authorized to sell

if you have a shop, you can sell gated merchandise, but around Xmas and special ocasion,AMZN will not give you much visibility.
I think there is also a limit on quantity of gated merchandise.
This is after shop owners complain that AMZN allow them to sell from their shop

Answer to the OP's question is that no they cannot buy from their 2nd company, you need to go through the authorised business channels.

If major brand then probably both the category and the brand are gated. You can verify this by trying to list a sample asin. It will stop you if gated.
