Does PaypalAU require a bank account?

I have a friends ID (with permission) but obviously they aren't need on me having access to their bank details.

I can pass the ID verification with ease, its bank account the last hurdle. Seems to be a country by country thing with Paypal.

Yes, you must verify bank for AU paypal account. If you don't do this your account will be Not verified. You can use Commonwealth bank or ANZ bank for this.

Yes, you can use different name. No problem. But i'm talking about verification only. I never try to withdraw on AU bank account with mismatch name, surname.

you can use a mismatched name to withdraw, it's rare that it won't be allowed with Aussie banks.

Its not the withdraw I am worried about its the verification, seems like I'm missing something.

what do you mean? if you can access the withdrawal obviously you can access the two micro deposits they send to verify it.

Well turns out bank account name holder does not have to match paypal account name, micro deposits successfully verified pay-pal account. Makes my stealth mission much easier now.

Verifying with micro deposits should be working but you never know when they wanna mess everything up!.

You can VCC for CONFIRMATION but you will need a AU bank account for VERIFICATION.

I have not seen possibilities for Australian VBA. As for access to Australian banks without being in Australian, perhaps there exist banks with international ties - HSBC comes to mind but I am sure their requirements are high for deposit amounts, etc - just an idea to research.

You're talking about something with which you have no experience, as usual.

VCCs work to get AU accounts fully verified.
